Yeah, I don't really know much about Lange or Poche but I can't imagine they are that much better. Rice's Fox has a career record of 26-2 and Houston's Romero has one of the lowest ERA's in the country.

You had 16 hits...for the entire weekend. And, that includes the game against Rice who was completely out of pitching.

In baseball, anything can happen. But, there is a stark difference between these two teams.

Lange has a lower era then Romero from Houston. I'd love to see the Cajuns win but I'm not ignorant to the fact that Lange is probably one of the three best pitchers in America. Poche has had his inconsistent moments but ULL has a very left handed line up and this could play well for Poche.

For ULL to have a chance they have to consistently barrel up fastballs early in counts. Being aggressive early and having it pay off, being able to move runners and pressure LSU with their bunt and hit run game (Tiger fans can laugh but the Cajuns execute base hit bunts and hit and runs as well as anyone in college baseball) and then have timely hitting at crucial times.

On the mound we have to slow the game way down on the mound which is very anti-Cajun pitching system in order to manage the LSU run game. Going to need to pitch into some double plays and really just have great d all weekend. LSU offense is fantastic. This is going to chap Tiger fan's asses but expect Cajun pitchers to go up and in often to do whatever they can to move LSU hitter's feet and make them uncomfortable. LSU fans will be on this board yelling about no class ULL trying to throw at guys but I promise its not to give you free base runners, its to make hitters uncomfortable.

Cajun pitchers have to keep it close and give the hitters a punchers chance. If LSU scores more then 5 runs they will win these games. Cajuns need to hope for the 3-2, 4-2 type of game.

That's right. Get it out of your system now so I don't have to see a dozen iterations of this same post before Saturday.

Only shot is if Kade and Chinea are up with a runner on first. And we will most likely steal before you have a chance.

Be prepared for a bat to happen to find its way into your dugout again.

Oh and please do so as it will make it even easier for us to steal bases if you do that with runners on.

Trahan at short gives us a good chance to turn said double plays. He really is outstanding defensively and is probably the only player for ULL that would start for LSU. Bregman is a freak player as well. Ive seen both of them a lot and taking BT as my shortstop. (probably just jinxed him into 3 errors).

Still love how Bregs plays and want him on any team. I just think when strictly speaking about defensive shortstops Im taking BT. BT can't hit anywhere near at the level Bregs can

LSU win the series 2-0. Might be close one game but I don't see the Cajuns making it that tight. They are playing good ball no doubt but are not as deep across the board as LSU.

I'm from Lafayette and pull for the Cajuns anytime except against LSU. Just don't see them getting close in this one.

Also, don't think my overconfidence will affect CPM's decisions or the teams playing.

Never under estimate your opponent...& props to the Cajuns for the impressive turn around finishing strong!

Still think LSU wins a CLOSE one; maybe with a nice comeback?...

BUT in another game can see LSU pulling away with the bats erupting...a rotisserie around the base-pads not even spicy Cajun seasoning will be able to stop!

The Tigers just faced one of the Best/Under the Radar Pitching Staffs in the Country in UNC-Wilmington...this has Prepared the Tigers well for this weekend's series!

Could UL-L got past UNC-Wilmington?? Would have been interesting!

Bring out the 2012 Superregional footage. That will change a lot of opinions. Also remember Ole Miss was down 0-1 at ULL and came back to take the series. Just like Stoneybrook did.

It ain't over til its over. I will say this..... We get pitching performances from Lange and Poche like we did in the regional..... I really like our chances.
