This is the damn super regional... Anybody LSU played this weekend was going to be a tough opponent.
I expect LSU to win just like I would have expected them to win if it was against rice or Houston... But nobody said it was supposed to be easy at this point of the season.

LSU would have been better served facing Houston or Rice.
Doubt it. There's a reason they were the 3 seed in that region.
Don't get me wrong, ULL is a good team, but they were fortunate to slip by Houston after being no-hit for 8 innings and get Rice after they had just played 20 innings into the middle of the night.

Thanks for starting this thread for the 2nd time in 36 hours. We forgot your feelings on the matter

Not to mention it took a miraculous comeback not to go immediately into the losers bracket of that regional. Again, they won and you have to give them credit..but i doubt there is one team in this tournament who wouldnt trade opponents with us.

LSU will blow them out. ULL sucks pretty hard.
Game 1:
LSU 8
ULL 1
Game 2:
LSU 12
ULL 3
Game 1:
LSU 8
ULL 1
Game 2:
LSU 12
ULL 3

Fans always post like that. I'm sure most level headed ones know it has a chance be a very tight series that could take all 3 to decide. A lot of their fans will be here and it's impossible to make a prediction based on how they did last week. Not in baseball.

Did you just copy/paste from your other thread?

Much rather the 3 seed than the 1 or 2 out of the paired regional

We can all see that you are the type of person that throws out these stupid warnings with nothing to support it so that "if" we do end up losing, you can walk around like a cocky rooster saying, "I told you so, I told you so." You type of people make me want to barf!

Oh really? Three games? It seems like you're one of those thinking this will be easy.

Fortunate to slip by Houston after being no-hit? I guess you just completely disregard our pitching and defense that held it to a 1-0 game for 9 innings, which allowed us to have a chance in the bottom of the 9th?
Some of you people think you know everything because you look at a box score. Unless you watch the game itself, you have no clue. The Cajuns pitched their arse off and played stellar defense all weekend. Cajuns had 0 errors throughout the Regional. Rice and Houston made errors… that's on them. Part of the game of baseball is playing defense and allowing yourself the chance to come back at the end.
Which team played the better game? The team that had 1 pitcher throw an "almost no-hitter" and eventually lost? Or the team that got no-hit through almost 8 full innings and still pushed through to get the win in the 9th?

I agree. I'm a season ticket holder at UL, and was at all of the games in Houston. I don't expect much out of this series in BR, but what gives me a little hope is the fact that the Cajuns won this weekend without hitting very well. If the bats get hot, anything can happen.

This is not an I told you so post. Based on the responses, I can see civility isn't a priority with some of you all. I said LSU will win, but that this is going to be tough, and Paul Manieri would also as well as the players would tell you the same thing I am saying.
Some of the same people who attack me are the ones who suffer from the Catastrophe syndrome when something goes wrong with any of LSU's teams. They want to immediately fire coaches. How many of you all have wanted to see Manieri gone in the recent past? I don't subscribe to that theory either.
Calling anyone names based on posts on a website is short sighted as you don't even know the person. I respect the Cajuns just like I respect Tulane, Southeastern and all of LSU's SEC opponents.
I think LSU wins this weekend, but it will be a tough series. LSU is simply better, but you never know what can happen. I think LSU will also win the National Championship this year, but there are always spots along the way that can possibly derail you. Ask UCLA.

Get em tiger...eh, cajun.
Save it tho, you'll need that fire

Oh and we were "fortunate" to get Rice after they had played 20 innings the night before. Guess who sent Rice to the loser's bracket? The Cajuns.
It's hilarious how people can just discredit what a team has done when they didn't even watch the games.
Sure we didn't hit very well in the Regional. But we still managed to score 16 runs over 3 games. And that's WITHOUT hitting. If our bats heat up, look out.
