I'm not sure why you are including punters and LOSs. I am talking about kickers. I just don't think you need 4 of them on scholarship when you are trying to get down to 85.

There's 2 place kickers on scholarship, not 4. 1 is a senior, 1 a true freshman. That makes perfect sense.

Gamble, Culp, Delahoussaye, and Domingue make 4 kickers by my count. Are you contending one or more of them don't count against the 85?

No one said only "place kickers," just kickers. Interestingly enough, though, he is listed on the official roster as a, you guessed it, place kicker.
In terms of Domingue, he has a scholarship.

He doesnt kick FGs, just kicks off. They dont list "KOS" in the roster.

That makes 4 kickers on scholarship. End of story.

And only 3 of those are PK's. I agree having a kick off specialist (scholarship player) is dumb, but the others make sense.
Delahousaye was the only scholarship pk last season, he got beat out by Domingue and he was awarded a scholarship for this year, makes sense.
Culp is a true freshman PK, Domingue and Delahousaaye are seniors who will both play. Why would any of these guys transfer? Culp knows he's the guy next year with 2 seniors and Miles will still let Delahousaaye kick some FGs and probably XPs.

Domingue had a scholarship last year, too.

That makes no difference on this year, if Delahousaaye didn't transfer after last year, why would he this year? Only reason now would be grad transfer, but he seems pretty happy here. Afterall he has a scholarship and doesnt even have to do anything

If he wanted to play or if he qualified for the post-grad eligibility exception.

I thought Gamble was an attrition candidate, but he won a spring award, so I doubt that now.

He's the only guy who kicks off really as Domingue's reps went down and Gamble's went up.

Wow! Some people just like to argue. Doesn't matter if they're wrong or not, as long as they can argue, flap their gums (so to speak). If someone says water is wet, they will argue that!
All that said, best of luck to Upchurch! You know, the guy this thread was about before dicks got whipped out?
I thought he was really gonna be something here. Never found a spot and then got passed by younger players. Really wish him the best.

Buttttt..Gamble kickoff specialist?? Dude can't even get to the ball to sniff the endzone...smh

Domingue is solid if necessary and I figured Culp would kickoff in 2017. I just hope Gamble is more consistent and avoids mishits.

The kickers are being asked to "Sky kick".

Good move by Upchurch if he wants to play. Good luck to him.
