Not trying to be a jerk, but why wouldn't he be there? Do old teammates/friends not usually go?

Also not trying to be a jerk but I hadn't really been following who had been elected this year and thought he was elected to the NFL HOF, but still a great honor and a great contributor on the best dynasty of that decade.

They're in training camp right now. Not sure if they are practicing out of town or not though. Also, most of the time someone is inducted into a HOF, their former longtime teammates are usually retired as well. Obviously this isn't the case with Brady.

Kevin's jersey should be retired at LSU. He was the single most important player in "bringing the magic back" to LSU football. And he's the all time leading rusher (for one more season anyway).

you can make a good argument for him and/or Josh Reed.

Reed owns every meaningful LSU WR record for the foreseeable future.

Were Butch Pierre and Glen Davis there too?

Give it time. There are only two Jerseys retired, and the last one took over 30 years to get there.

Did Faulk graduate? Just asking because I thought that was an unwritten rule that a player must have graduated from LSU?

That's for building statues, not retiring Jerseys.

It doesn't matter in this case because Faulk is a graduate of LSU.

I understand that, but why should it take LSU so long? We know his place in history already. He is a high school coach in the state now and there is no doubt about his legacy. I think it would be a tremendous honor to retire his jersey in 2017 on the 20th anniversary of his team defeating the #1 overall Florida Gators.

Is there a way we can make some sort of signature list to send the athletic department to make this a reality? I'm sure thousands of Tiger fans would get behind this.

I understand the hesitancy to retire #s in college bc of the #s of guys on the team that require specific jersey #s.

That being said, I think adding Faulk to the Ring of Honor should be done in the next few years. Other people could still wear his # but he would be immortalized in TS.
