I don't think I could agree any more. He brings so much to the table and hardly takes anything off. He is so good, Bama fans have created talking points to discredit what he has done. That last point pretty much tells you all you need to know.

Good read...looking forward to seeing TM7 back up all the offseason talk on the field. I remember a tackle he had on 11/5 at Bama against a TE...caught a pass and TM7 was the only defender over there and came up on him and immediately took him down on the spot.

Only problem with this one is that he left out the analysis of the NCG... these numbers would look a little different (I think) if those were included.
Either way, though, his "lack of coverage skills" is extremely overstated, IMO.

It isn't clear that he left those games out, first and foremost. Second, he gave up 4 additional passes. Even if that was on four attempts which I doubt, he would be at 48 percent.

Great football players tend to excel at any position. Great coaches know how use and align a great player with special abilities.

Well, here is to hoping his scholly is not considered bounty money for being such a violent player. 
FWIW, LSU has quite a few players that attack everyplay with the intention of dominating opponents physically, menatlly, and emotionally. I applaud this fact.

if he comes out this year and has maybe 5 ints. i think he is a lock for cornerback in the nfl. me personally if i could draft him he would play all the db positions for my team cause he is not like anybody i have seen well ed reed, troy poloumalu

thanks for the link to a good read. Mathieu is one of those players that gets microscopic scrutiny and attention and doesn't shrivel under the lights.

I think Tyrann Mathieu is going to go to Pro Bowls in the NFL. I think he will be a multiple-phase difference maker.

I think Ford is pound for pound the strongest guy in the country..
Last year he was 3rd on that list behind Trent Richardson and a OT from Michigan.. I think both of them are gone now.
