Well shite, weren't both Reid's parents LSU track stars?

yes, but a 4.53 for a safety is a good time. did he ever do anything on the field that made you think he'd run faster than this? everyone isn't a freak like Peterson. Running that time at his size is very impressive. Add in the vertical & broad jump (best in the group), and his 10 yard split, his explosion is extremely impressive

I was talking about his broad jump more than his 40. And I was not knocking him either.

Yea I think Eric Reid's combine has helped himself quiet a bit. He might move into round 1.

That's assuming he doesn't look stiff on drills. Simon should do well in that department.

We're about to find out.

Helluva burst for Eric. I'm shocked at Simon's time. Man these three plus Keke really made themselves some money doing these drills.

where do you think LSU players will land?

Ried - 2nd
Mingo - 1st
Montgomery - 2nd
Minter - 2nd
Simon - 3rd
Logan - 3rd
Matheui - 2nd

I think TM7 is way too risky to be a team's second overall pick, between his height, off-the-field issues and so-so combine thus far.

Not saying somebody will take a chance, but as a GM/Coach, with my player evaluations under intense scrunity, I think it would be hard to justify that pick.

I like everything else you listed though. Maybe Reid slides up.

Someone will take him in the 2nd-3rd. Don't see TM dropping past the 3rd. Simon has done really well today, better than I thought. But, the film speaks louder than the combine. See him as a late 3rd at best. See him going in the 4th. There are a lot of good DBs out there this year that have done as good as Simon or better at the combine and have better film.

Besides TM, Reid has helped himself out the most. Did better than Vacarro at every drill and measurement. Still think Elam is the #1 S in the draft, but I think Reid moved up ahead of Vacarro.

DBU putting on a show. I am not surprised by the numbers Reid put up, just look at the guy.
