Good time for Simon. How did he look running it? Fluid?

good time for Simon considering his height
At 6'02" and 202 - That's pretty good. He can send the Seahawks a thank you note for making his body type more acceptable. Hopefully he can shave a couple hundredths off... His start wasn't great.

Eric Reid's 10 yard split was 1.50s

TM7 will be a stud at the next level.

For those as unfamiliar to the 10 yard split as I was...

One of the most important and consistently overlooked measurements at the combine is the first 10 yards of the 40, known as the 10-yard split. This is simply a measurement to see how fast a prospect can cover the first 10 yards of their 40. It’s great to see how fast someone can run 40 yards, but how often in an NFL game are players required to cover that distance on one play? A more reasonable measurement, and a better indicator of “football speed,” is 10 yards.
A “Great” 10-Yard Split Time (1.55 seconds and under)
A “Good” 10-Yard Split Time (1.56-1.59)
An “Average” 10-Yard Split Time (1.60-1.62)
A “Below Average” 10-Yard Split Times (1.63-1.69)

Reid's broad jumo at 11'02 is nasty.

reid and simon probably both break 4.5 at LSU pro day. Everyone always seem to run faster at the pro days.

Ties him for 6th best in Combine HISTORY.
ETA:
Actually since 2006 which is as far back as the "Top Performers Tracker" goes.
That is for all positions.
ETA2:
2nd Best jump by a DB since 2006.

The track at Indy is supposedly notoriously slow, so not too surprising, not to mention the way they come up with the "official" 40 times at the combine is ridiculous.

crazy that some guy yesterday jumped nearly 12 feet, his mark being the 2nd to the world record holder iirc

Well shite, weren't both Reid's parents LSU track stars?

Reid is making himself some money today.

Tharold Simon 2nd 40: 4.48
Looked a lot smoother on the start this time.
