i guess i was expecting people to be excited to be around other LSU fans, rather than a bunch of sister frickers covered from head-to-toe in houndstooth.

Sorry you had to experience that. Ignorance has no bounds.

Was it your tent you were standing under? or did someone else, that you do not know, legally buy the tent?

Maybe if y'all hadn't been standing under our tents while it was raining we wouldn't have been like wtf are y'all doing.

It doesn't surprise me. There are plenty of LSU tailgaters who are assholes to other LSU fans at home who set up too close to "their spot". I swear some fans bend over backward to be nice to opposing fans but treat their own like shite.

That's what I'm preaching Cajun. It isn't like this is uncommon.

At first, I was like "he lied, this is not worth the read at all," but then Franks starts asking stupid questions and now I'm more interested.
And was the chick hot? Is she banging some bigwig from Baton Rouge?

You could have avoided that whole situation by simple communication. That isn't starting shite. What you're doing now is starting shite. As far as being amazed at how someone could be so selfish, news flash...people in this world are some selfish mfs. Some are just worse than others. Which is why you have to open your mouth and communicate a lot of times. She's not going to bite.

So, we showed up around the time a bus of Tiger fans pulled up as well. They were just about to finish setting up

How long did you stand there watching them set up without offering to help? They probably thought you were going to mooch off their tailgate and then you exacerbated the problem by failing to say you were just meeting people there. I would say that's on you.

So you didn't confront them face to face about it, but you felt the need to come crying on tigerdroppings a few days later like a little bitch?

I don't know how old you are, but I have observed a recurring problem among groups of people society defines as "Millenials". You may or may not be part of that group. What I have observed from many people of this group is that they are too busy on their smartphones to look people in the eye and speak clearly and intelligently to another person.

Your situation sounds like you failed to convey the thought to the other person that a) you were invited and b) you did not intend to partake of their refreshments, and c) that you and your entourage were merely seeking temporary shelter from the rain.

Because, as I gather from your rant, you failed to communicate these tidbits of vital information to the other party, you were met with a "Get off my lawn" mentality of the group to which I surmise are much older than you. Should that be the case, your failure to act is not their problem, in my opinion, your ranting here is of douchelike quality.

HOWEVER, if you did, in fact, convey those thoughts to that lady, then I would agree that she was being a snobby bitch.
FWIW

could understand if the people that came to meet us ate all their food or drank their beer, but they just stood under a tent to get out the rain.

I understand where you're coming from. However, if it was me, as soon as my little group got under the tent to get out of the rain, I would've said -- "hey guys, just here to get out of the rain". Instead, it appeared that you just barged in to someone else's party without even acknowledging the host. What they did was wrong but you could've done a lot of good with better manners.

OP decides to remain silent when he's got proof that he's been invited or belongs, and instead of just defusing it saying, "Oh well we've been invited by ____," or something else that would totally be appropriate, completely normal behavior, decides to get superoffended and run away to complain on the interwebs about it.

Then he gets his homey to come flame folks who are asking questions because he says he remained silent when it made no sense.

Or in other words, just another Thursday on tRant.

My experience with this group was at the Wisconsin game in Houston. My friend knew them and invited about 12 of us to the tailgate. We showed up, got our wristbands and ate, drank and were merry.

Gues it's who you know.
