I was pleased with the potential this guy has..Could you all see him as our future QB? anyone else not happy that he sat on the bench all year...Certainly was not perfect but thought he had talent and could see him as the future qb..I felt a helluva lot better about him than pic 6 lee

I was pleased in his performance yesterday. I think he has a lot of potential to be a great college quarterback one day.

I liked what I saw. Its all in JJ's hands, he has all the tools. If he puts in the work he will be LSU's QB of the future.

I think he looks great for our future. Shows poise, can move around and most of his passes seem pretty dang crisp.

Jefferson was 9-21....43%, against the worst overall defense and one of the worst passing defenses in the SEC

he missed BADLY on several deep balls, was very inconsistent on alot of his stuff underneath and AGAIN held on to the ball too long taking 4 sacks.

in the 4th quarter, when it matter most, LSU had 4 drives totaling 9 yards....9 freakin yards

is he THE reason we lost, No! there is enough blame to go around, but he certainly did not play well and should definitely shoulder some of the blame for a sub par performance

He throws like a pitcher...from the wind-up, not the stretch...his slow delivery messes up the timing of a lot of pass plays...I am sure they can tweak that though.

you are right but this was his first real game but i have a better feeling about this guy...a good qb coach could make this kid a winner

I was impressed but you have to remember who he was going against. He needs to work on his throwing motion or he will never improve his accuracy. This is not a bash on JJ but Bama and UF would have eaten him alive. He really needed a RS to work on his mechanics and accuracy.

He was ok. It sure helps when your going against the worst D in the conference.

I was thrilled in the 1st half, but not so much in the 2nd. He seemed to tighten up. No int's were defenitely a plus.

Grade B-/c+

JJ DID NOT cost LSU this game. Lack of discipline/coaching and POOR defense are the main reasons LSU lost.

I like Jefferson. He is very poised and plays smart for a true freshman QB. I think the kid has loads of potential and I am frankly amazed at how strong of an arm he has. That strike to Lafell was one of the prettiest passes I have ever seen.

I like the talent with fire in his eyes combination.
If he can control his emotions and channel it into managing a game he will be a great one.

That's horseshite. You want to blame anyone for this loss, pin it on Alem or TJ. Or Crowton for that boneheaded pass on third and one at the end of the second quarter. Jefferson actually did everything he needed to do to help us win the game.

Does this include the dropped balls?

Did he miss bad enough to be picked for six?

I looks to me like someone was playing not to loose, and had nothing to do with JJ.

Had Miles started JJ against Tulane when any normal coach would have, we would have different topics upon which to rant.

no, they never include those for any qb...otherwise LSU may have beaten Alabama

but JJ is under 50% on the season. it wasn't just yesterday. he has proven to not be very accurate

I have no idea why JJ didn't see more playing time earlier in the year. He could have assumed Hatch's role when Lee took the starting spot. He is clearly better than Hatch, but not convinced yet that he is/will be better than Lee.

I don't know if Lee will recover mentally from this season. I don't know if JJ will be an effective passer.

I do know I can't take another season of shitty QB play.

The kid didn't throw one pick 6! He played very well for his first start in my opinion. The Loss is nowhere near his fault.

PS I love Miles' comment in the paper. All he has to say about JJ is this:

"The good news is, Jordan Jefferson played hard,” Miles said. “He gave us something and we were lacking, some plays at the quarterback spot.”

Didn't see anything that great to make me get overly excited for next season.
