The tards asking about benching Mett at OM last year know the answer to this ridiculous question already.

Mett threw three horrible INTs in that game, and had he sat a drive and been calmed down, perhaps LSU wins that gam

Really, you thought LSU would be better served taking out a veteran QB having a fine yr and throwing in a true Fr. with almost no playing experience so Mett could calm down???

Why don't you be consistent? Following your MO, Mett should have been benched for the game or till the 4th quarter...right?

You are absolutey correct, but in past seasons, he went MIA after the AU fumble in 2012...same way with the FB last year during the red gump game, connor became starting FB after fumble into EZ by JCC...
I don't disagree with what CLM does, I am just pointing out how differently he handles each situation...Apparently it works for LSU, as we have not been a BIG fumblitis team since he has been here...

I think pulling a player that turns it over is fine, but he should be consistent.

Why? As Emerson said "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds".

handled very well. it shouldn't bring down KH confidence.. but to make him focus and aware that it affects the team. case in point.. it will make him better.. just like anyone else who fumbles.

wow...just...WOW!!

So, in YOUR world:

Drew Brees
Peyton Manning
Brett Farve
et al

would all be benched because they threw interceptions?

You REALLY think a QB throwing an INT is the same as a RB fumbling?

You REALLY think a QB fumbling is the same as a RB fumbling?

wow

Well, um, uh, that put it in perspective

Some people are stupid. They wanted Jennings in after Mett threw 3 picks. The diff here was those rbs were already going to split carries. No one bitches when a rb doesn't fumble and makes way for another rb.

Didn't LSU go thru a streatch of like 3 seasons without a RB losing a fumble?

Man, Jenning's is elite? Miles kept him in after his fumble!

If you were on my team, I would bench you.

Saying that a QB turning the ball over 3 times in 4 drives while also struggling mightily warrants a player sitting for a drive or two or even a half, is reasonable.

it was against New Mexico St. You give the guy a few more drives so that his confidence isn't completely shot when he comes out.

I think you bench every player that fumbles or misses a tackle until you have to start pulling people out the stands to get on the field

I agree with how handles the fumbles but I do not agree with how he handles the TEs dropping passes, hell they never get the ball you need to go right back to them if they miss a catch. This really could open up our offense. D wouldn't know if he should take on the block or pass protect, would open up holes in the run game also. So much this offense can do when you spread the defense out with your play calling.

Herman Boone broke his foot off in some John Brown hind parts and made them run a mile. Miles has more compassionate approach.

90% of the time a fumble is from lack of concentration on holding the ball. This will make sure they concentrate next time and every time after.

It seems to work. Our RBs rarely fumble and I'd be willing to bet we're one of the lower in the country every year on fumbles from the RBs. I never see our guys with shaky confidence and in fact they come back looking better with ball security...
