But, from what I've seen, and I didn't see the Georgia game yet, Spurrier seems to put him at risk, even after narrowly escaping the Vandy game.

Punishing Shaw for taking that risk is probably LSU's best recipe in this one.

I think both Shaw and Spurrier learned a big lesson from the Vandy game. Since then, Shaw has been avoiding contact as much as possible and pulling up early or getting out of bounds even if it means giving up 2-3 potential yards.

In the meantime, I'll leave you with this little gem...

NEVER underestimate TS @ night and the advantages that come along with it.
Also don't OVER estimate it and this team. It seems like we do it every week. I don't think we even provide much resistance for them.

Well, I guess I'm hoping LSU will put enough pressure on the other options to force them to this advantage. It may be necessary, given the TOP issues we've had.

And, I saw that run live, and it's exactly what I want to see Saturday night, with a different set of Tigers on defense.

Look, nobody wants LSU to win on Saturday more than I

If you don't believe we have a shot, then why even want it?

Honestly this game scares me more than just about any other on our schedule minus LSU.

Good luck and may the best team win Sat.

...and thanks for your input, really. Do you have Miles' fax number?
I like to see insightful observations from the opposing fanbase.
Of course some of the cretins on this board will chime in with their inane comments.

I look forward to this game more than any of the rest. Yeah, even the Bama game which will feature the usual, boring Saban juggernaut.
like the...well, you know...game.

So this is one of those threads you put out here so if we win you can be all happy, but if we lose you can come back and act like you knew it was going to happen and are so smart?

The Defense did wear down, but it was due to a lack of our offense being able to execute.

Yup.

He who goes 0-9 on 3rd down (or whatever it ended up being) does not give the D much time to rest. We sucked arse on O. And I'm afraid we're going to suck on O for the rest of the season: not b/c of the players, but b/c of the scheme or lack thereof.

Thx, I'm not here to talk smack (but not afraid to throw a barb or two if need be ), I'm here to talk football and learn a little more about our opponents. I laffed at the Les Miles fax number line. This should be a fun game. Death Valley (the REAL one, not the fake one in Pickens, SC) at night, is a SCARY proposition and makes me VERY nervous. It has to be one of the toughest venues in all of College Football. Let you cajuns get a few drinks in you, and you guys are CRAZY (and that's said with the upmost respect... :))

One of my Co-workers out here is from New Orleans and is a LSU grad, so he keeps me fairly up to date on the tigers. We've got a friendly lunch wager riding on this game at the local Cajun restaurant.

If this was Saints Talk, I'd suggest this thread for a DATTY.
