The LSU D was on the field entirely too long and got gassed

70 plays to 50 plays will do that to a D. I see the same kind of thing happening this sat. Sad to say but true.I just don't see the offense making few IF any changes. IMO south carolina is a much better team than FLA. YES we have them at home and at night, But I just don't see the FIGHT in THIS LSU team. The only real advantadge I see is that USC might be looking ahead to FLA next week and not be as focused as they should.

Offensive coaches needed a wake-up call.

Going back to 2011: Arkansas, Georgia, 1/9, Auburn and Florida, we have been pathetic on offense.

So USCe could be caught looking ahead to UF but LSU couldn't have been caught looking ahead to USCe?

We have the best defense in the country. I truly believe that. And we're at home.

We can win.

The only way we win that game is to go back to a physical, smash-mouth brand of football

You just said we couldn't win. Which one is it?

my gosh man wtf.

florida was on the road and we held our own.
they didn't whip our arse. we didn't take advantage of crucial opportunities.

i'm not concerned with teams that feature one physical back. this plays to LSU's strength.

so spurrier is off to finally a good start and he's all of sudden better than miles? even tho miles clearly out coached him last meeting..

the injuries are concerning but we still have a better football team and program.

we don't have to be physical to win this game. it helps.. but we need to eliminate penalties and turnovers.. simply execute. mettenberger can pass, these receivers need to catch.

Watch this and tell me this is how the gamecocks play, because it's not. Sure, Lattimore is the headliner, but Connor Shaw is their 2nd leading rusher. He will kill you with the zone read. Just ask Clemson, Nebraska, Mizzou and UGa. If you focus on Lattimore, Shaw keeps it for 5-10 yds. If you spy Connor Shaw, he'll dump it off to receivers in the flat.

Stop buying into the hype. I predicted a 16-13 LSU win, but because of this thread I'm going to change that to 24-13 LSU. Your thread has made me see that this team will not quit, and in fact, it is now hungrier than ever. Florida woke up a sleeping giant.

This. If anything, I came away from the Florida game even more impressed with our defense. They are stronger than I thought they were. However, they're not super human. You simply can't expect them to continue to produce at such a high level when they are constantly on the field.

if we can generate any sort of consistent offense and get a few first downs to keep the defense off the field...AND take full advantage of turnovers, I think we'll be just fine...

Only thing that concerns me. Felt like a game from 2009.

Florida didn't just beat us, they whipped our arse's in the second half. They played more physical than we did, and the game was not as close as the score indicated. Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Florida only score 14 points?
