so who gets cut if Trent signs a Juco PG? Per Dandy Don, that'd put him over the 13 allowed.

I think Chris Bass would convert to a walk-on. His brother is a millionaire NBA player. He can afford one year of tuition. He went to a prep school in the East that probably cost more than LSU.

I think people really underestimate CBass. I know he doesn't score, but he gets people open shots better than anyone else on this team, and thats not opinion. That is complete fact. He hasn't had his normal stellar assist/turnover but he still leads the team in that category.

Yea but if a JUCO PG comes in and can do all that AND score then we really don't need him anymore

We have improved drastically since the beginning of the year, but still lack overall talent. With the addition of O'Bryant and Hamilton next year, our front court should be stronger.

Another year for Stringer, Turner, and Dotson will only improve their games.

If we could somehow swing a solid PG for next year I think we'd have a damn solid team.

Last I heard TJ was looking at some JUCO PGs, but haven't heard anything lately.

I am disappointed in TJ so far, but believe in his strategy and can kind of see it playing out. We just need to get a stud (Glen Davis, BBass, TThomas-caliber) in the next two recruiting classes.

That is what kept Brady alive, he always had at least one NBA'er on his team. Stromile, Jabari, Dupree, Bass, Davis, Thomas.

TJ has 0 right now. One All-SEC/NBAer would make a world of difference.

I think Turner could be an All-SEC guy by the time he's done, he's a true freshman after all. Brady got NBA guys from in-state, how many in-state NBA guys have there been since TJ got here? My guess is between 0 and 0

Temple had a lot to do with the talent that came here.

Agreed, not giving Temple all the credit, but he certainly helped... a lot

I'm not turning this into a Brady vs. TJ debate. I think Brady did a good job when he was here, but it was time for LSU to cut him loose for a better, more consistent coach. Right now, I'm not positive we got a better coach.

Brady did get Anthony Randolph (Dallas), Jabari Smith (Georgia), Chris Johnson (Virginia), Ronald Dupree (MS), and Jaime Lloreda (Panama). All out of staters.

O'Bryant will be a big help next year and I'll be happy if he is as good as the worst of the ones listed above.

LA basketball has been down the last few years, but it looks like we'll have some very good players in the next 2-3 classes. We need TJ to lock them down and maybe pull one or two 4/5*s from out of state.

It'll probably never happen again like that, but hey I'd be happy with one NBA caliber player coming out of the baton rouge area at this point

They have shown me the last two weeks that they have the ability and are continuing to improve. With the addition of a few players (namely O'bryant), this team WILL win the west next year.

Whoa, let's not make space to hang a banner just yet. They played well last night and hopefully took some permanent steps forward. I was really glad to see Dotson perform up to the level many felt he could play at. He has shown brief glimpses for 2 years of the kind of player he could be. Last night it came out.

The team has pieces. Turner looks like he could be an All-SEC canidate later in his career. Derenbecker could be a great spot-up wing shooter if LSU could find a consistent post presence. Stringer has talent, he just needs to refine it.

I wish TJ could get a better flow in the half court offense. Each possession, the team is still very timid in thier passing. But you could see last night that once they started to gain confidence, the offense moved crisply. The effort has been there most of the season. The players seem to be good guys and like playing with one another. It was nice to see smiles on thier faces at the end of the game. Hopefully last night was a step in the right direction for the program.

The same people also believe that Brady should still be coaching at LSU
