ETA: And I totally get your point btw. Some people will not appreciate that these guys, whom I presume aren't season ticket holders for the most part, get first crack at a few of the tickets. But this is such a nonstory.

Yeah, those legislators aren't going to stand in the LSU ticket office line for 8:00 AM Friday morning to purchase outfield bleacher seats.

Nope. They are given preference. "Anyone else" is on a first come, first served basis. "Anyone else" can only buy those two tickets if the legislator doesn't want them. If "Anyone else" wants them, the legislator still gets them. Not at all equal treatment.
