Dont worry, josh d will be the new tbob, and of course tyrann and shepard are going to get bashed hardcore. Especially when tyrann messes up just once in coverage. Sheps gonna be labled the biggest bust in lsu history. We already heard it last year. With expectations eben higher, im gonna have to avoid the rant so i dont have to read people bashing our players while they hide behind a computer screen.

Oh and miles will get bashed when we run it down pur first few opponents throats instead of going air raid on their asses.

I am willing to bet no lsu player for the rest of our lives will receive anywhere near the criticism that JJ has the past 2 seasons. One reason being that none of those guys will be repeatedly quoted as to how well he played no matter how bad he has played. Secondly other than JJ Miles has shown he will bench players who perform at a poor level. Why JJ was treated differently is a question many would love Miles to answer as well as added to many's dislike and frustration with JJ.

Maybe I didn't explain it well, I am always excited about LSU football...I think it more about expectations and confidence in the team/season

Because it was not just facial expressions with JJ, it was also the comments he made when being interviewed by the media. I do understand that he was under 22 years old and that his comments could be misinterpreted, however at some point he should have realized ( providing that he had any humility in his personality) that these comments hurt his standing.

At this point in his career he had had only one game that stood out ( the 2008 peach bowl)
The rest in terms of being a QB were not what one would consider good.

With this comment many LSU fans took it as him putting himself into a category with great QB's which he was definitely not.

His comment instead ( note that this is hindsight)should have been:

I am going to sit down with the coaches and work on being better prepared for the next game

or something to this content.

Also when things went right while JJ was the QB it was all about how great he played when he was speaking. When things went wrong it was always someone else that messed up. JJ was viewed by many fans as being a me first player and not a team first player. I am sure that LSU has other players with this attitude in the past, but this is the first time in my memory that we have had one in such a prominent role on the team.

These feeling can be related to other players.
