As things stand now, even if the game is played later, Fla would be back at full strength so that part of their strategy would have worked. But they win across the board. Using the commish's words, they did what was best for Fla, which put those interests ahead of the SEC. Why should LSU, then, be the only one to compromise our position to further the interests of the league? It takes 2 to compromise & work together for one common interest. Fla. wins on every account, LSU would have to be the one compromising our interests.

Please tell me you're joking...

In 2005, LSU put their team on a plane and flew them to ARIZONA in the wake of one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the state.

Never mind the fact that it was a non-conference game that could've easily been cancelled. AND Arizona St. was ranked #15. How easy would it have been for LSU to say "sorry, we have to cancel" and avoid a potential 0-1 start to the season. Who could've blamed them?

But nope. They sacked up, got on a plane, and played the game.

We were in Florida's position, in 2005.

Hurricane Rita made landfall on Saturday. The game with Tennessee scheduled in Tiger Stadium that day was played the following Monday night in Tiger Stadium.

That's how Florida should've handled it.

We moved a fricking conference game in 2005 to play TENN on Monday night in the wake of Hurricane Rita. We didn't "postpone" it. Do you realize how much canceling that game would have helped LSU that year? Assuming everything plays out the way the rest of the year did, we'd have gone into the SE Championship game undefeated and would not have had to play 12 straight weeks to get there. We may have actually had some legs left and beaten UGA that night. 2005 could have been VASTLY different had we gamed the system the way Florida has.

Yeap

Bunch of people complaining that LSU shouldn't yield to Florida while yielding their browser's security to a shitty website just to read about it
