i like what we have in dural/diarse on the perimeter
TEs...sigh. smith should have caught one, dickson fumbled, gordon wasn't really involved in the passing game but i liked what i saw from him as a blocker
o-line took a while to get going, even after wisconsin lost their nose, wasn't real happy about that. 3rd and medium, 3rd and medium, 3rd and medium...
i fricking hate trying to run the power toss dive with tempo. FFS (does it really matter who the "offensive coordinator" is)
fournette could have had a big gain on that misdirection toss (frick i love that play)
wisonsin's kicker has keiland calves
delahoussaye is good. gamble has a big arse leg, unfortunate he shanked that one kick but not bad for a debut. keehn is still keehn. mixed bag
i was really worried about our front 7 but they answered the bell in the second half (huge shoutout to wisconsin for taking gordon out the game, thanks guys) godchaux was impressive
thought thomas played well outside after collins had to leave
anyway, oline needs to play to its capability, i assume grimes will be on their arse this week. front 7 on d needs to show better against the run and not get beat to the edge so easily.
this team was literally making me fall asleep in the third quarter, satisfied with the W but lots to improve on and that's okay. its not even september yet. don't expect us to go undefeated, just hope we don't go down losing games where it comes down to a bumbling coaching gaffe (fricking delay of game on a kickoff?) or taking the ball away from the hot hand, weird play calling, substitutions, etc. just as long as we compete and we usually do.

I don't think anybody has mentioned the screen plays. We ran HB screen what, 3 times? All three times it looked like it was there but the QB made a bad throw in all three. If we can execute that one better it will be deadly.

You can get a delay of the game penalty before the kick off, wtf.
OL like Auburn/Alabama yesterday, finally wore down a scrappy Wisky defense.
Although his stats dont reflect, qb managed the game well.
No outside speed at rb. Doesnt M Ford have a year left on his elig.
Receivers looked seasoned, especially Diearse or whatever his name is. Dude caught me by suprise.
Secondary U is still secondary U.
Linebackers, didn't see much of em in the first half.
CHIEF could change the course of a river if he wanted to.
Les finally rolled the dice on some trickeration.
Kicking game solid.
Rb's especially Hilliard, finally got going, because I believe we (OL), wore them down. LF7 will be a beast, just wished we had somebody that could get to the corner.

I love the "if they would just __________, things would be great" posts. I understood them during Les' first 5 years, but it's year 10. Whatever it is that you think they should be doing different, forget. Time to accept reality and find ways to enjoy it.
I don't even care any more. I just giggle like a retard as Les keeps finding new and increasingly circuitous routes to victory, while pissing everyone off.

Fatigue and injuries were a factor but the real reason was mentioned earlier in this thread. We went to a 3 WR, single back set and that forced them into their nickle package. Once there were only 6 or 7 in the box, our OL did work.

They were in the nickle because 2/3 of Wisconsin's d-line had been injures and they were forced to use under-sized pass rushing outside linebackers as d-linemen because they lacked depth to replace their nose tackle and defensive end.

Kenny Hilliard is a damn good back who has speed and power and will help us a lot this year.
