This is the thing. We dont even need to go 4 and 5 wide. We just need to get teams in their nickel packages and our running game will explode.

Don't disagree and neither does Cam.

Teams don't go into nickel in when offense has heavy formations tho.

which proves my point (that having him as a base offensive player means we're playing 10 on 11)
Seems someone needs to be reminded about what a fullback does out of the I. Nevermind.

Yeah a walkon FB is just what we need on the field on 1st and 2nd down. If Hester was our FB then it would be a different story.

yea, running the same plays the pros run is "archaic".

the "run and shoot" and it's derivatives have never won a NC. there is nothing wrong with the type of offense we run. our defense and our execution on offense is the reason we got down 3 scores.

it is obvious miles recruits the type of players that the pros want and that is a big draw to them. the sam bradfords of the world don't select LSU. to you (and many others) the wild run and shoot, spread, etc is very exciting but to call any other type offense out of date is just wrong. football is, and always will be, about blocking, running, passing and catching AS A TEAM. and the great running teams win the trophies.

You do realize there is something in btwn 2 TE I formation and the freaking run and shoot.

Most are just suggesting replacing a walkon FB with a 4 star WR that embarrassed the Wisc secondary in their base formation.

Les is my coach but the same old same old run no matter how many men are on the line.

If we throw more we win big

yes, and I agree with you if that's what you meant but calling it 19th century is bull shite.

our coaches definitely allowed wisky to shut down our run game for too long into the game (and at the very end too). we need to let AJ throw some short confidence builders early and we need to get the opponent out of this 8 man front crap.

so we agree in principle. I think us playing the spread as our main offense would be a big mistake.

I think he means athletically as compared to a wide receiver who could be catching, blocking or running the ball.

Sorry to insult your century. I keed I keed.

I am in no way calling for the spread option or run and shoot or whatever. Just a base 3 wide base set utilizing our best available players. Our personnel is better than everyone else's excrpt for maybe Bama (we r prob equal with them).

We definitely improved once we started running more of the zone-read option plays. With the QBs we have, I am surprised we didn't see more of it to begin the game tbh.
