arky? no fricking idea why they'd go after him.

Short memories....Les was the last coach to beat them so they can't think past that...and I don't think Les rides motorcycles so that's another plus for them!

So the players committed to LSU this year are committed because Saban was the LSU coach when they were in 4th grade?

If you think that LSU being an elite program ever since they can remember doesn't help you are a retard.

Les is a good coach at a great school, the schools success has attracted attention to Les. Put Les at a school where he has two and three star athletes and he'll be less than average. Our studs coming out of Louisiana have pulled his arse out of many games he's lost control of. The man is a fine recruiter and an excellent person but Xs Os, forget about it!

You mean like Nick Saban at Michigan State? What BCS bowls did they play in?

Even you have to admit, it's kinda funny that most of the names coming up in these wish list threads Miles has either beaten soundly on a big stage or beaten multiple times.

If I hear Del Rio or Gruden mentioned again I'll puke. WTF makes anyone think that Del Rio would be a great college coach?

Del Rio was the first choice in 2005 until Skip and TAF screwed up the interview process.

Because "offers" are only given to the coach that actually gets the job. It's bad PR-wise to actually give a contract to a number of different coaches and be turned down.

For the 100th time. Michigan NEVER offered him the job

You dumb
Was just reiterated on Hannagrif show today.

Les was NEVER offered or interviewed for the Michigan job. LSU had already given him the extension he wanted before the SECCG. Les was pissed that Herbstreit came up with some bogus bullshite that forced Miles to go public before he wanted to.

To date, Les Miles has had ZERO public offers from any schools in the 8 years he has been at LSU. If you count the Arky offer as legit and not just posturing, he has ONE.

Les has almost a 15 million $ buyout to get him out of LSU. No school in their right mind is going to pay that much for Les Miles.

Les may not have been offered but if he would've told them he would go he would've been. Michigan tested the waters with him first before offering to avoid the bad press if he were to turn them down. Schools do this all the time.

Arky offered. it's pretty much common knowledge by now

So technically Les has been pursued by 2 schools.

You really think Michigan was not interested and didn't come calling? Because you would be completely wrong.
