I didn't say Burrow.

Good Lord...

I think he could have a big leap from where he is now, like Joe did.

Go see Matt Corral after 150 carries last season. He was tough as nails too, but that’s not enough at that size in the SEC.

We’re not going to beat many SEC teams besides Auburn playing like we have in the FSU and MSU first halves. UT and Bama will have us in a hole we can’t possibly get out of. Whatever happens with Daniels’ development and the scheme, that has to be fixed so we aren’t asking too much of the defense.

He will have to improve at looking downfield and making quicker decisions. Greg McElroy stated it perfectly. When he decides to run he pulls the ball in . You have to keep looking downfield, just don't give up and run. Throw the receivers open. Boutte is killing him. Boutte is the lazyiest route runner we have on the team. He never fights off the defender and makes space. Any high school coach can see that Boutte is a lazy route runner.

Daniels is getting a little better each game and is coachable. I think he will improve. We need him too

Na he’s a good player with a glaring weakness and that weakness, to LSU fans, is harsh reminder of a bleak offensive period of LSU football. He’s only capable of being who he is and that will be good enough to win a few games this year. Things could be much worse. We would be in deep doo doo without him.

I think Herm engraved in his head something along the lines of, “Have an internal clock of 3 seconds in your head, either throw the ball or run when you get to 3”

Good article in BR paper about Daniels. Former analyst at ASU laid it out pretty much. Freshman year didnt ask him to do too much. Played to his strengths. One read and dump it off or take off. Next year was covid only 4 games. Then new oc tried to get him to stay in pocket read defense. Numbers went way down in 2021. He’s started 28 games at this point. I doubt he suddenly learns to read a defense post snap and throw with anticipation. It’s a tough thing to do and he doesnt do it well. But he’s the best option right now. They just need to play to his strengths and hope he doesnt get hurt.

That’s very possible. It’s probably that type of thinking that has helped result in Herm losing his head coaching position at ASU, in addition to his failure to win enough games.

Herm seems like an okay guy, just not a good head coach.

Has anyone noticed that every time we go up tempo, it’s highly successful? JD is perfectly fit for that. Why don’t we do that 50% of the time? We score when we go up tempo. Isn’t that what we’re trying to do?

we just want Daniels to find the open wide receivers which he has failed numerous times each game. Its really just basic QB play.
This will be the killer against SEC teams with a pulse.

They'll shut the run down and it will be all over.

You can't have WR's running around wide open all game and not get them the ball, so better prepare yourselves for the coming SEC attractions because many can see exactly where this is headed.

Hell, Joe wasn't Joe his FIRST year here either. He had very mediocre stats his first year here.

You live by the run you die by the run. A one demential team cannot succeed in the SEC.

correct but the football ignorant retards here will always cry when they dont know wtf they are talking about as usual and bash the OC for lack of execution.

It's not the system...Daniels lacks field awareness and isn't very accurate on his throws...Lsu had wr running open all night on miss st. Lsu should have had atleast 49 maybe 50...daniels needs to view the field better if lsu is gonna win going forward

Denbrock doesn't look much better.

denbrock wants to run a dinosaur long developing pass route offense in the beginning of games. realizes it doesn't work and switches to quick passes getting the ball out of daniels hands. what happens? the team moves the ball down the field and starts scoring.

denbrock is very stubborn but relents when he figures out his original game plan doesn't work. he just waited too long against FSU.

How does a coach teach a QB to see/throw to wide open receivers?
He is getting coaching on the field. Didn't K remind him to keep his shoulders turned, when throwing down field, to improve his accuracy.
IMO, his biggest problem is, in order to be successful, he has to run. I doubt he can last the season putting his thin body on the line repeatedly.
He is fun to watch.
He gives us a chance in every game.

This isn’t it. People are never going to be satisfied with the QB until it is a sure fire NFL guy. And that will happen, just like it did with Burrow. Bama has them two deep; Kelly will too.
