Maybe it only works with your Commodore 64.
Anyway please just answer my questions. You seem to spend a lot of time avoiding them.

It's an elderly thing... making up phrases they think the youngsters use.

I PLAYED LB in high school and I depending on the defense called, I had gap responsibility OR, wait for it, man/RB responsibilty, especially on our blitz packages if I wasn't the one blitzing. I haven't seen the play again, but I thought someone said we had safeties up in a blitz formation. I don't recall.

But let me make sure I am clear on one thing, I'm NOT defending Welter as I have NO IDEA what he was supposed to do on that particular play. But I am glad to see many on here obsolutely positive he did the wrong thing. Maybe he did. I DO NOT know with any certainty so I'll choose NOT to bash someone over something I do not know. I'll stay neutral.

Let me tell you something, tough guy. We are having a healthy discussion. Now why do you want to piss off an Admin and personally attack him. Don't make me ban you for breaking the below guideline. And I can do it. I'll just hide your post and pretend this little incident didn't happen, ok?

It appeared to me that he bit hard on the fake, and when the QB appeared with the ball, he was still trying to get untangled from our DT (who was being double teamed and got pushed right back into Welter).

By the time Welter cut back towards the right, the QB was already past him.

He does seem to have slow reaction time, and he bites on fakes quite a bit from what I have seen.

that's scary lol. I saw the same thing, and when he broke the line all I thought about was Dak ducking and dodging our boys.

I don't understand it though. Yeah Dak is an athlete, but we just looked pathetic on that run. He didn't look like Cam Newton, more like the Young run against the Vikings.

Did anyone notice that NMSU had their own Welter? #31 for NMSU was as white as our #31. Both had a fumble recovery last night.

Welters responsibility was the running back. Deion Jones was the QB. He went the wrong way on play not Welter.

Yeah I don't like to bag on players, but we are only playing with 9 men when Welter and Martin are on the field at the same time. Martin is usually our last line of defense (our deepest safety), yet he is slower than just about all our linebackers.

I've been a bigger fan of Martin than most for a few years,,,

I just didn't see him making mistakes this weekend. I actually thought Martin played really well and saved us from giving up some big gains.

You know, I repeatedly see comments on this board by learned fans - and I'm sure you are included - who forcefully complain about the play of Welter. It leaves me to ask, "Are all you coaches? Are all of you such football wizards that you can discern what a particular player's responsibility is supposed to be on every play? Do you all know exactly what defensive call has been made on every play?

However, I suspect that this complaint is something that has been repeated so many times that it goes as a fact, even to most of us who really can't claim necessary credentials for grading Welter's paper.

I cannot imagine why the coaching staff of a top echelon college football team hasn't seen the same mistakes that everyone on this board ascribes to Welter. Maybe, he's not as bad as his reputation on this board, only, reflects.

If we had Martin in the back then he could have saved the touchdown.

He was in there and the NMS guy ran right by him... Martin was on the right and Mills was on the left.

Hunter is also lineing up to wide, then continues to go wider. That hole was enormous, reminds me a lot of Montgomery, dude takes himself out of a lot of plays. I know his job is to turn the play inside, but the sideline can do that as well.
