With the upgrades around the Hoover Met, it will be better than ever and I hope it stays there for years to come

It is still in fricking Alabama. There are a ton of other options in much better cities. It should not be set in one spot and should rotate.

Well zephyr field isn't in new Orleans and it's definitely not a great facility. As much as I'd like the tournament to be closer, zephyr field would be a bad choice.

I've been to Hoover 3 times in the past 5 years. Enjoyed it. Plenty of space. Nice stadium. Places to get out of the Sun. But I've been to Memphis too. It's a lot better.

I've been to Hoover 3 times in the past 6-7 years as well. Loved it every time. Never been to Memphis' stadium though.

Made the Hoover trip two years in a row now and would not want to see it in any other location. The atmosphere generated there would not be replicated anywhere else for some time. Not to mention it is in a great area and proximity to Birmingham.

Your biggest problem there would be tailgating with large campers. The stadium is downtown. Literally, next door to the Peabody. But that brings up a great aspect. Lots of rooms close by. Good food to eat and things to do. And the park is beautiful.

I've played there once and it's also the finish line (in Right Field) for the St. Jude Marathon.

Hoover Met is adding on a larger sports complex and upgrading facilities. I would be surprised if they moved it,

It's really close to New Orleans and new managment have already stated that they would upgrade the stadium if they would be chosen. They are probably just looking for any incentive to remodel the stadium. It needs to rotate.

I see the same issue with Zephyr Field as with the Gwinnett Braves stadium, not enough decent hotel rooms in the immediate area. I'll be surprised if it moves from Hoover.

so you're the real nostalgic type.....there's nothing wrong with that but not all of us are like that

there are alot of other towns that have wayyyyy more to offer than Hoover/B-ham

to note......Zephyr would be a shitty place to have it as the park is in a shitty section of metairie off of airline hwy

Memphis would be a nice option, also pensacola as stated earlier

And Im sure it took some time to get that atmosphere.

It needs to rotate. There are plenty of other options.

just like Hoover isn't in Birmingham and i don't think anyone calls it great either... no one can honestly say they love Hoover and then hate the thought of it in Zephyr Field, particularly after upgrades

I've enjoyed attending the SEC tournament in Hoover. The people there do a fantastic job of moving traffic considering there's only one road in and out of the stadium.

What I hate is the games are played behind enemy lines.

I would be shocked if the SEC moves it away from their hometown offices.

The only time the Met is filled to above 50% is when Bama, LSU, or MSU is playing.

And what happens when people buy tickets in advance and their teams don't make it past the first day? At hoover, there's still plenty of seats to buy. At a small park, those seats will either sell way too high or not sold at all and people who would like to be there won't have an opportunity.

That and your number is just wrong.
