guys we ned to be a little more fair to key. The shoulder surgery was just in june and its impossible to get in football shape or any king of shape when you shoulder is in a sling or you can't lift it above your head. Lets see how he's playing at the end of the season.

You have to wonder if Arden is not giving a total effort for fear of injuring his shoulder and thereby affecting his NFL combine performance before the draft.

If he is still trying by the end of the season... he will be a first round pick even if he never plays another snap here.

Then he needs to sit out and practice. He is not doing his draft stock any favors by playing like this. I cringe every time the announcers single him out for missed tackles and slow in reading the play.

His issues are more about not playing his assignments correctly

He should have had surgery after the season with lsu doctors and not leave the team. Another waste of a talent

Arden key will not be a first round pick unless something changes in his performance.
Combine alone will not save him.

The fact we didn't have him on a bike while rehabbing is sad. I get you can't do much with an injured shoulder but his weight gain was unacceptable

I agree. If he plays like this all season there is no chance in hell he is a first round pick.

Poor Arden, he just got snakebite and may very well go undrafted now.

That means a lot of NFL scouts are also on the crack pipe

Because he’s projected to go 6th - 8th overall

He really may need another year at LSU to bounce back from his offseason surgery and weight gain. His assets of being athletic off the end with the ability to be flexible and play long seems to have really declined to where he is slow and unable to bend and use his length because of the poor distribution of his weight. He needs to work to improve his body composition and mobility again. His strength is his leverage, and he seems to have lost a lot of leverage.

This is obviously just my opinion after watching him play last year and this year, but seems pretty night and day watching him stand straight up on pass rush and basically get neutralized if he can't overpower his blocker. Hope he improves sooner rather than later for his future and because the team needs his elite pass rush ability when they play better passing teams.

Pretty sure those predictions were before the season. Scouts know his capabilities, and his potential, but if you don't think his performance on the field this season will affect his draft stock your crazy.
