Exactly my point. If there was such commitment to his departure, where were they last night?

Again, did you expect people to fricking boo him last night? Can we not appreciate the man AND want change? Should we have thrown shite at him on the field?

They do not speak for the best that is LSU!

Did you watch the game last night? It was the last game of the season. All off season and regular season to coach up and develop and look how we looked against the worst team in our division.

those who usually cry the loudest do so because they know they are the minority, but want you to think they are the opposite, and want you to feel you are wrong for not seeing their side.

The 100,000 people who were in that stadium last night showing their support for CLM shows you that those who actually attend football games at LSU aren't the ones doing all the fire Miles hell raising. It's the radio listeners, or TV watchers that have no vested interest in the program except to call themselves fans. Do the real fans want to see something change? Sure in the worse way, but not at the cost of a good coach who just needs to change his way of thinking, and hire a good OC who can coach up a quarterback.

They were right there beside you in the seats. Holding the Goodbye Les signs. Believing they were giving an honorable man a respectful goodbye. The same signs they dropped on the ground in stunned silence some 20 minutes after the game when they found out he'd actually be returning. Or are you ignoring all the posts by people who testify to the fact that that's exactly what they and people sitting all around them did last night. Or are you just trying to further your agenda while ignoring the real facts? No. Surely there's a mistake. You couldn't possibly be that kind of guy.

this is retarded. 100k people appreciating the man's accomplishments means they want him to come back

convince me he will. Did you watch his presser last night and what he said about our offense?

While there was a decent amount of people cheering for him, a lot weren't. It wasn't a unanimous, uproarious cheer across the stadium.

I disagreed with the chants, but as some pointed out, I thought it was also a sending-off cheer. Regardless, I wouldn't boo him or bring some dumb sign because that's childish and classless.

This still doesn't change my position, which is correct, that he is underperforming and needs to be gone.

I think there would have been some more boos if anyone thought there was a chance Miles would actually be back.

yep, I think people were sure he was gone, so it was more of a salute on what they thought was his last game, than an actual plea to keep him. I could be wrong, but we'll see next season, if the offense continues to perform the way it did this year. I have a feeling there won't be any "we want les" chants.

People who you call Nega-tigers want excellence but they do not go on public display by booing or chanting against a current coach. It is never easy to go against the grain but that is the only way to achieve excellence. Do you think Alabama would put up with this? So just get used to mediocracy, oh wait, you are already used to it. Frankly I would bet you live it.

This positive presence at the game, and not the cult of negativity, is the majority - the true, wisest and best voice of the real LSU Nation.

I cannot pull against LSU for any reason, but the positive vibe in the air was because most felt it was the end of the Miles era and were ready to send him off, much like when it happened to Cholly Mac...
This was not about love for Miles and wanting him to stay- see me again next year when we lose a couple of games!

On a warm, breezy afternoon, Dale Brown, LSU's basketball coach since 1972, brings his staff to football practice in a show of support for Hallman. In Hallman's first year in Baton Rouge, when a fight broke out in a dorm between basketball and football players, Brown got in Hallman's face and said, "Listen, rookie...." Before Brown could get much further, Hallman stopped him and said, "I may be new here, but I'm not any rookie. I've paid my dues." The next day Shaquille O'Neal complimented Hallman on how he had handled the situation.

At a few ticks past 7 p.m., Hallman shows up late for his final radio show, which is broadcast from a studio in the athletics office building. He apologizes to the host, saying he dozed off in his office while watching videotape of Arkansas. In the next hour he takes notes as he fields calls from more than 20 LSU fans in four states, most of whom wish him well. "I don't really know if I have any faith in the hierarchy at LSU to bring in somebody better than you," says a caller named Donald.
