Sticks and stones. Nobody here is saying Jones is a bad human being. Any name calling is related to his coaching. It may be juvenile, but it's to be expected on a fan message board. You have to admit, the stakes were high today and Jones made several coaching blunders which really hurt. So our fanbase's emotions are raw right now.

Other SEC fans laugh at Jones's inept coaching. You'd be hard pressed to name 9 teams in the SEC who'd want Johnny Jones as a head coach.
SEC Rant is full of trolls. Cant believe you actually take them seriously

It's definitely full of trolls but I find it very unlikely 3/4 of the SEC want Johnny Jones as a head coach

That first year coach that lied to the NCAA has pantsed our third year coach twice this season with a far weaker lineup.
That first year coach was hit with a 3 year show-cause and had 2 players throw punches today.

He also has KT Harrell (SR G), SEC leading scorer, along with 3 more SR G's Mason, Canada, Ross-Miller, along with JR Cinmeon Bowers and went 4-14 in the SEC.

So a thug accepting coach with a SR laden team that goes 4-14 in the SEC that ended his last tenure on probation is your answer.

This team wins in Bud Walton, has a week to rest, and then loses to a BAD team playing its 3rd game in less than 48 hours.

Poorly-coached teams do these things.

Our 2012 team was gutless? That team worked harder then any LSU team since 1986. You clearly started watching this season. Our team last year was tough too. They just weren't talented enough.

This sums it up. Tons of posters were claiming victory because it was going to be Auburn's 3rd game straight and they were going to be tired. Guess they forgot we look big donkey shite against subpar teams.

Please stop with this. They may not be the most talented team in the country, but they are a hell of a lot more talented than the 6 teams they lost to that aren't in the top 100 in the nation.

I'm talking about 2013. I agree about this team. Teams are going to drop games they shouldn't, but 6 is pitiful. Everybody deserves the blame.

that team deserved an NIT bid. this team could use a carmouche. hornsby is the closest thing they have to a leader but he seems like a guy who would rather just play his game and not get caught up with keeping everyone else in line which is perfectly ok, someone just needs to become an emotional leader. i could see tim being that guy next year

Last years team with Carmouche would've been the Danny Shittu. This team just needs a fricking leader. Keith is a fricking warrior, but he doesn't have the personality to be the vocal leader of a team.

ETA: I'm not sure about Tim. I think he's too loose and cool to be the rah rah type guy. Tone Blakeney could be that guy. Dude was the leader of the best AAU team in the country and has that dog in him you look for.

Don't you think it's incumbent on the coach to make sure his players know how much time is on the shot clock during a timeout with 17 seconds remaining? That should be obvious to the players, but it's on Jones that he didn't reaffirm that during the timeout.

And can somebody shoot a FT? This FT shooting is worse than the Cal coached Memphis teams.

Three things are killing LSU, youth, and lack of depth are first and second. The most consistent player on the team is Hornsby and he is the most experienced, The lack of depth is compounded by the third problem, injuries. With both Quarterman and Mickey nicked up we are not the same team as played Kentucky.

LSU fans = worst fans in the country. I bet 3/4s of the SEC teams would love to have Jones as a coach.

He was an HC for 11 years prior to getting the LSU job. Literally no one in the SEC wanted him at any point durning that time. I guess LSU was fortunate to win the Johnny Jones sweepstakes in 2012 after he ripped through the Sun Belt conf en route to an 18-14 record and 4th place finish in the Western Division. There had to be exactly ZERO schools beating down his door to fill thier vacancy.

We're in game 32 and LSU is still no better at something as basic as inbounding the basketball as they were in game 1. LSU fans are getting what they should (and the smart ones did) have expected. Relative mediocraty. A team that on any given night can beat anyone and likewise can lose to anyone. There is a nearly 15 year track record to prove that point

He's not as bad as people portray. I don't know what LSU fans expect.

Still, we should have fouled the dog shite out of Cinnamon today when he got the ball at the top of the key. That is on Jones.

There it is. I suspect this will be the pumpers' mantra if the ship cannot be righted in football or basketball.

I like Coach Jones as a coach, a recruiter and as a person. And we are lucky to have him.

If M&M stay, we will be stacked next year.
