I just hate gimmicky stuff! I just dont think it is that intimidating or that cool looking.

I'm pretty sure you won't hear some visting player say, "These fans are crazy. They all wear the same color shirt. That really threw me off my game."

It looks Ok on TV but thats about it.

a lot of teams try to rock their "gameday gold," we need to be diffeent, i think we should go all purple

but the different purple and gold wearers out there helps show the numbers we have in Tiger Stadium

I'm just turned off from all gold, b/c the admin tried to do it when I went to GT and it never quite looked right

It's ok. Fat chickens are usually coveted.

Fat admins? Well, just stay away from the P&G horizontal stripes. Go vertical...it's thinning.

Hey, go with the gold jersey they sell. Jerseys can cover some serious acreage. I know from experience.

It'll be tough to ask for any kind of color coordination after mid October or so. Most people won't go out and spend the money for a gold/purple/white sweatshirt or jacket if they already have a grey or purple one which are the most common colors for sweatshirts and jackets.

My dad's an alumnus and a former player and he wears his non sports related beige windbreaker after October.

I'm on board for the "purple out" against Georgia ... that could be cool.

Georgia game will be colder, so either jackets or sweatshirts will be needed. I don't know many people with gold jackets, but a lot have purple jackets and sweatshirts. So I say lets try the "Purple Out"

I almost think that the "Gold" game last night made the stadium seem emptier then it was.

No that was the empty gold seats from all the fat cats in the 3rd/4th quarter....

Yeah, that's my point. Only LSU fans would think that the gold shirts looked like empty seats. I think the gold shirts hid the fact that there were so many empty seats esp. late in the game. Of course then they show outside views of the stadium and all those "rabid" LSU fans that talk all year about looking forward to a game spend all day there and possibly several days in advance only to scram like they can't wait to ge the heck out of there way before the game is over. Never could understand it, especially if the game is in doubt.

I'll never understand it either... they play 60 minutes and they play for us and the state and take pride in it.... but some people want to go get drunk or miss traffic.

we did purple out a few years ago, can't remember the opponent...doesn't look that great. at night under the lights its difficult to tell the difference between purple, blue, and black...it just looks like everyone is wearing dark colors. it probably looked even less impressive on TV.
