And it is listed as an RBI double. It's stupid. It should be an error on the closest position to where the ball hits the ground. In this case, E1.

Much to my surprise, my call for him to miss it was answered!

Pitchers don't really ever catch pop flys. If you want to go that route you should say it's an error on whomever was closest.

But i don't want to go that route because then it's not charged as an earned run. And I want the stats to reflect poorly on them in as many ways as possible

No, if anyone deserves the error, its the player who calls for it, but doesnt catch it. In this case, its the 3rd basemen

Yeah, OK, I can buy that. Or what the poster above said, the person closest to it. But, and hey, I'm as big of an LSU fan there is, that wasn't a double, or even a hit. It should be an error. That's all I'm saying. And I've always thought that about this play.

Hard to laugh too much because without those boneheaded plays it’s a scary close game

Reminiscent of the Arkansas debacle in the championship game.

The lack of communication was noticed Thursday. I'm not surprised it caught up with them yesterday.

That play was made funnier by the fact that the ball bounced really high and completely out of the picture. Watching it in replay makes it look like the ball is on a string.
