Yes but Emery was rated 5 stars by 247.com
Just because someone was rated a 5 star doesn't mean they are better than who you have that has been in a college program for 2 years. CEH got yards when the average back would have been tackled. Obviously Emery is no Guice or Fournette, if he was then I'm sure he'd be playing more.

This offense really does not need a feature back, it's a qb wideout show. You run just to keep the defense honest.

Many 5 star players never live up to the potential

He's fine and fine is about his ceiling. You likely aren't going to get game changing plays with the ball in his hands. There's more talented though less experienced backs on the roster. I was disappointed that those guys got a minimum amount of touches behind Clyde.
I understand Clyde getting the start and lions share of playing time. But theres opportunities behind him and Fournette ain't it.
+1

I actually think curry should have gotten some carries. He’s the bruiser. Would have pounded the ut def last night

What's absurd is No Curry, you can't say after a year he can't pick up a fricking blitz. I have never see Curry go backwards when he's hit. I can understand the coaching staff taking time with Emery & David but Curry should be getting more work just IMO!!!

same idiots who predicted we'd blow out Texas by 3+ TDs. They're clueless idiots and all you have to do is read the rant to see plenty of proof of that.
I'm always kind of amazed how little most football fans actually know about football.

point: CEH is a good change of pace, second or third string back. He is not LSU starter material, and you made the case as to why: he is slow. I will add that power is a weakness as well. We have no one else, so he starts, but they need to get the freshmen ready quickly. Let me put it another way: If every LSU starter was as good at his position as CEH is at his we would have lost by 30 to Texas, and we would be a .500 ball club.

I had my doubts about CEH as well but I saw in the Florida game he was a great back. I do wish he had a little more speed though.

It's just short of miraculous, the development of CEH in his career as a Tiger

That young man left it all on the field. It was a joy to watch him cut up lil Nicky’s d.

A little more speed? Are you serious. The amount of heart and soul that young man put into that game last night was stuff legends are made of. Right up there with the Hester runs against Florida. That was a performance above and beyond any reasonable expectation. Without him we don’t win that game. Period. He has earned his rightful place among the legends of LSU football greats. I have a feeling he isn’t through by a long shot. Sat patiently for years waiting his turn. I have been watching them for over 50 years and I cried when I saw him getting emotional on the side lines and I am not embarrassed in the least to say it. That was a wonderful job he did and he should be appreciated for the job he has done this year.

CEH plays like a man on a mission.
What a game he played!
