He certainly deserves no disrespect.

I do think he's limited and, I do hope that one of the freshman take control and are as good as advertised.

But, CEH played to his max yesterday and, it certainly wasn't awful. A lot of teams would love to have CEH

I think we’ve been spoiled with Guys like Jeremy Hill, Fournette and Guice.

But CEH is a good SEC caliber back. He might be elite but he plays smart and knows his assignments and very rarely makes a mistake.

The freshmen may have more raw talent, but until they master the mental aspect of the game CEH should remain on the field.

I thought CEH played well.

I’d like to see Emery become our 3rd down back like the Pats used Faulk.

Come on. Bridgette got over 1000 yards in a really shitty offense. He was much better than “adequate”.

You have to understand that most LSU fans think they know more than the coaching staff........

I love it when posters say who should and shouldn’t see the field...we have coaches that are putting the guys who are ready out there.

It is not disrespectful to say another player is better and offers the full recipe to beat the top tier teams when the time comes (Bama and auburn defense).

Emery gives that

Emery gives that based on what exactly? His high school highlights against higher school players? His star rating?

What have you seen from him so far that makes you think he is better right now than CEH?

Hell, Emery can’t even get on the field ahead of the other freshman.

It’s not a knock on CEH for fricks sake. If emery would play nobody would bitch about CEH. Is it that hard for you to understand? Quit posting about this shite

If Emery was ready then they'd play him. Do people think that they don't want to put him out there?

Ots not a knock on ceh just because we want to see our top recruit play

with only one miss that I can remember.

Well, to be fair, if hes in for his blocking knowledge and ability, whiffing on a block and causing a sack is unacceptable.

Guess what Emery can do in space

Talent.

His physical attributes.

Orgeron mentioned something earlier about the weight room with Emery. May be he isn't big enough or strong enough yet.

Whatever it is it will hurt us because he is the most naturally gifted and talented runner on the roster. Yes a five star back that dominated every team he played is enough. It isn't uncanny to see high school film and come to a conclusion he is the best (insert position) on the roster.

See Trevor Lawrence and Tua. Almost cost Alabama a championship.

If he is our best blocker and knows who to pick up what does that tell you about his back ups?

And there are countless examples of players who dominated HS and didn’t do squat in college.

But you didn’t answer the Question

What has Emery shown that makes you think he is better than CEH right now?

Why can’t Emery get on the field ahead of the other freshman? Why can’t he get on the field ahead of Lanard Fournette?

Emery may end up an all time great but other than Hope why do you think he is the best option right now?

If you can’t tell that CEH works hard every day of his life for the mane on the side of his helmet, then you don’t even register on the football IQ scale.

He is better is what

What makes you think CEH is better? I've seen both enough to grasp who is more talented. I don't even think it is close.

It isn't close. Guess we have to take it on faith then that the coaches will make the right moves. He isn't better though.

Yes but Emery was rated 5 stars by 247.com dammit! He needs to be starting for a top 5 power program.

Quit being silly.

CEH played solid enough. It would just be nice to see a guy with more speed get a few of those swing passes. That is all.

No one is "hating" on CEH by being honest.

Goodness. And yes if he averaged around 5 or so, just imagine a more explosive back with some of those carries..

FWIW, he seemed to go down every time at first contact and didn’t seem to make great cuts in space. I know that is nit picky but that is what I saw.
