I don’t have a problem with CEH. He’s a solid back who runs hard and has great agility. I have a problem with Fournette getting the #2 reps. He doesn’t look like anything special and I don’t see where he’s doing anything to keep Emery, Davis-Price, or Curry from getting carries instead

I can't argue with dumb fricks.

CEH isn't close to better than Emery.

It’s ok to love a player and accept that he isn’t quite SEC starting back caliber. CEH has a lot of great qualities that you mention. So did Brosette last year. However, they are not elite athletes. They just aren’t, and no amount of hard work and effort can overcome that. LSU is going to have to rotate more guys to be more CONSISTENTLY effective in big games. For the defense to fare better, we need a more consistently dependable run threat to control games and TOP when necessary. Maybe I’m wrong, but he doesn’t show me any signs of being a difference maker.

I point you back to 2003. Remember when the Tigers were rotating a couple of solid vet backs and the offense was ok. However, it wasn’t until Vincent got the bulk of the carries that things picked up. He was a key difference maker down the stretch and played a huge role in the SEC Title and BCSNC Games. Getting your best athletes on the field is important. What if Vincent had never played because of seniority?

I thought he played well. He picked up a safety blitz on the late TD to Jefferson. I like me some CEH.

He had a few. He also blew two that lead to sacks and dropped a first down pass that lead to Texas’ offense getting the momentum back. He had a good game with a couple of very big runs, but nowhere close to great.

he is our best blocker and knows who to pick up what does that tell you about his back ups?

Older ones? Nothing. It means their time should go to younger , more talented guys with upside.

Any further questions

Imo CEH was responsible for 3 and possibly 4 of the sacks. Every time Burrow was blocked the RB responsibility was on the blitzer who got the sack. But that is fixable. This offense is new to everybody and there is going to be mistakes. It may have been a mistake in the way the pass protection was designed. He was overpowered on one of the sacks.

The worst play CEH made was dropping the pass for a first down in the opening drive of the 3rd quarter. That sort of let the TX get momentum.

So are you implying that you know more about football than O and the rest of the staff?

THEN

WHY

ISN'T

HE

PLAYING?????

You keep saying he is better. I am not arguing that he isn’t more talented than CEH. I am not arguing that he won’t have a better career than CEH.

But there is a reason he was not the first, second or third option last night.

You keep arguing that he is the best thing since LF. So for the fifth time: why the hell can he not get on the field?

Answer or STFU

This take that the other backs on the roster need to be playing automatically because “talent” is the dumbest fricking take in the history of tigerdroppings. Did you enjoy 573 total yards? Did you enjoy 471 passing yards? Did you enjoy aggressive offensive play calling? Did you enjoy your coaches trusting the players to make plays and put the game in their hands? If the answers to all these questions is yes then you need to shut the frick up about not putting in freshman running backs. Do you know what offense is great for talented runners with little to no game experience? The bullshite toss sweep , eye raping, alcoholic inducing offense that we as fans have been complaining about since before Charles McClendon put Tommy Casanova in at tailback in the spring game that one time. I for one, quite enjoyed last night. It was the first time LSU out schemed a defense instead of trusting athletic ability to just overcome the opponent. It’s a new day around here. If certain positions need a little extra time to learn how to play it’s a small price to pay.

People want a crazy wide open passing attack with true freshman rbs handling blitz packages against top ten teams on the road in the second game of the season Cat. What could go wrong?

The guy just ran at 5.8 yards per carry, a TD, and no fumbles against Texas on the road and made some filthy moves in space. He also blocked very well, with only one miss that I can remember.

5.8 ypc is very damn good.

Is he elite like a Guice or Fournette? No, he’s not, but he’s a good RB. His only real weakness is break away speed.

I agree Emery and TDP need to get more touches these next few weeks, but CEH is our main guy this season.

Overall I agree. He's a good back and he's the best we have at the moment.

He struggles in pass protection at times. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Agreed - the asinine 3rd and 1 swing pass wasn’t his fault.

That’s where E needs to reign in B getting too cute.

He’s the most annoying back to have to tackle, he’s short but shifty and he has power to him. It takes more than one player to tackle him most on the time.
