OK response, I lost the reply about the time he starts talking about the Saints, for some reason. He seemed ok, manned up.

Les stood up for his team of last year. He's the man. Love that dude.

They are?

It seems to me like they are discussing this video.

Yes, I didn't transcribe the video, dude.

Why does this need a response at all?

It needed a response for the same reason anything makes the paper, a blog, etc. The event became a news story in itself...and may people were interested in a response. I'm not sure how any reasonable person could argue with that.

I don't like Duncan. But, his response was waaaaaay beyond reasonable...never exhibited hurt feelings, and he even went so far as to take responsibility for his poorly worded question.

I read nola.com so rarely, that I can't distinguish him from other writers in LA.

I actually think it was not a bad question (just a poor analogy given he was asking the Previous Nail's HC) -- I was having the same conversation in the stands in the 4th quarter. The game was a mirror of last years, with roles reversed.

So, I guess I'm one who doesn't think Duncan is an idiot for asking it, and I also don't think Miles is a clueless jerk for answering it the way he did.

It is not always necessary to demarcate the good and evil sides in a situation.

IMHO I think the video itself shows butthurt; he didn't sound butthurt. He's still upset and dwelling if he feels the need to make the video three days later.

What's he supposed to do, not mention it at all like it never happened? People are going to want to know what he thought about it since he asked the question. You watched - he talked. And then he went on with the rest of the stuff from over the weekend. He mentioned that the question was poorly worded, but was surprised by the level of response. I think his response was very logical.

I have to laugh at this. They gave up 237 total yards on 70 plays in that game. That's 3.3 yards per play. They gave up 3 yards a rush. They lost the game because Beckham couldn't come up with a catch and fumbled the one he finally caught. The Danielson narrative that they lined up and drilled LSU is not supported by the facts.

He made a point in the video of talking about how LSU was the more physical team this year like UF was last year. He said last year Florida ran it 33 of 37 times in the 2nd half and ran the ball 25 times in a row in their last 25 plays. He said you don't see that much anymore (which you don't) and talked about Miles background (the Schembechler connection) and how Miles appreciates being physical with teams. He made strong points...let's just put it that way.

Your listening comprehension skills are very poor. How did you make it out of high school? Unless you linked the wrong video, the video I saw was a reporter admitting he worded his question poorly, apologizing for offending the coach, and taking the whole thing in stride.

And for the "he waited 3 days" thing...Duncan puts out a weekly video with his thoughts on LSU, Tulane, Saints, etc....and this was the day they release it.

You people will find anything to start shite over, even if it doesn't exist.

Relax Jeff, you're not important enough for anybody to really care

Sorry but that's not butt hurt. It was actually pretty gracious.

Duncan admitted that he worded the question poorly.

That aside, he was right. UF was more physical last year and pounded us into submission.

You can bash Duncan if you want but it's clear Les was the one butthurt. How dare anyone say his players were the nail (they were). Just like his defense of RS last year and then he proceeded to basically shelve him for the remaining game.

Because it was frickING FUNNY!

I mean, their are 100 reasons why miles was totally in the right for what he said. However, I laughed my fricking arse off and thought it was god damn hilarious. He is so underrated it just gross.

Don't try to understand chap. Just enjoy the personality and move on. Some of you over analyze the frick out of things.
