What I want most is for them to let Jennings just play. Don't bottle him up in the beginning of games. They did that against Iowa and then Wisconsin, and then try to tell him to throw us back into the game. I think it's stupid to hold your QB back.

Honestly, I'm not convinced Jennings is ready for the entire playbook. Cam's easing him into our offense IMO. I'd expect to see some different plays, formations, route trees, etc. as we get into SEC play though. I'm a little more concerned about Jennings being able to make those 4-7 yard throws that keep the chains moving.

We showed the same generic offense we always do against much weaker opponents that's why most of the time it is 10-0,13-6, etc. at halftime. The problem I see now is that when we hit the SEC season will Jennings be ready alot of new faces at WR also. We need these tone up games to get this offense n sync but god I hope we are ready. Big question is the QB for me.

Many.

Wrong answer. The last time we used the TE as any kind of an offensive weapon was 2007 when we had Richard Dickson and Crowton was the OC. For whatever reason, Les Miles doesn't believe in throwing many passes to the TE. He'd rather run a toss dive repeatedly into a stacked line.

we didn't really succeed with offensive scheme as much as we ended up bullying a vastly inferior opponent over time

that's not going to help us develop for SEC play

This. The run the ball till your face turns blue against inferior opponents works against OOC and lesser SEC teams.

Also to everyone saying the TE's and RB's are an option to catch out of the I-Formation. You are correct. But how many times does LSU run this formation, block with 9(Te's and RB's as well as OLine) have Dural on a single route that if covered, screws the QB?

can you list the coaches who throw "many" passes to the TE?

spreading the offense out doesn't necessarily complicate the play book. You can still run dive plays off tackle and the quick pitch up the middle run plays out of it. Spreading the formation just moves more defenders out the box and gives more room for those plays to work. Also the threat of a pass helps.

This is Les for you, his trickery never ends, don't think for one minute that the offense is not using 4 receiver sets in practice, he is not going to allow teams to use footage of games where he doesn't need to use formations like that to score points, if the RBs can run decently with 9 men in the box, just imagine how they will run spread out, Hilliard is having a good year look for him to gain some major yardage in future games

We'll probably start the game against Miss St with the same type offense we used against ULM. It may work against Miss St in which case we will go with it the entire game. Or we may find ourselves in a hole late in the game due to running this type offense at which time we will spread the offense out and get another thrilling come from behind victory. Of course we could just start the game with a spread out offense and crush Miss. St right from the start.
