For those of you that didn't take the time to read the obituary, do yourself a favor and do so......if you believe what Jim Valvano said in his "never give up" speech, Parker's obit will be your chance to have your emotions stirred to tears today.
I can't understand how people that experience the untimely death of a child ever go on. I have but one child - a 20 year old daughter. I sincerely believe that I wouldn't consider life worth living if something like this happened to her.
Props to you, JK, for getting it.....for understanding that you possessed the ability - just by being present - to brighten the day of a dying child, which in turn, brightened the day of his parents.

Amen....brings all this going on back in true focus that these young men & women student athletes are truly just playing a game for their enjoyment & ours. All this angst & acrimony we as fans bring to what is going on does somewhat diminish their role. Thanks to Jamie Keehn & Parker as he lived his life for re-grounding all of us.
RIP Parker :(

Sometimes downvortes are just an accident. I would hope so in this case or else we have some crappy people posting.

These are the stories that need to make the news more often than the drugs, theft, etc. Class act by Jamie.

Makes you want to know who the 6 people were that down-voted this amazing story so you know who the real scum are on this board. R.I.P. and class act Jamie.

It's not just about football but life lessons and at the end of the day each of those young men who put on that uniform are still people also and this shows the character of one of our players. The young man and his family will be my prayers and to Mr. Keehn thank you for being a great person.
