They're also a big deal for our pitching. We could waste a lot of a start by one of our good pitchers if there's a long delay in the early-middle innings of a game.

Why is that an "issue"? As long as we get the games in, that's all that matters
.

If we lose Lange and Poche' after 2 or 3 innings and we will suffer for it. Although the hitting has been better than expected and the pitching worse than expected this year.

Much like football, rain can minimize a talent difference.

I do agree that it is not something that can be controlled so worrying about it is a waste of time.

its not a big deal to discuss the possibility of weather interfering with the regional

apparently it's a very big deal to some folks here. some are much more willing to discuss how important they themselves are to the team and how much more of a "true fan" they are.

and how much "in the know" they are since they attend meetings and such.

You can definitely learn a lot from attending the meetings. That's where the real info is shared.

no doubt. but, some folks seem to think going to meetings makes them a lot more important than everyone else.

Maybe not more important, just more involved.
Are we talking about the same thing?

Ahh, The Rant. Where a topic about a weather forecast that was 4 days out at the time turns into a conversation about meetings.

Current forecast looks horrible. It is going to be tough to get in these games. High chance of rain Friday thru Monday.

Looks like a shite show in Baton Rouge already. I'd be surprised if we played a game today or tomorrow.

If all the games in the regional are canceled, the highest ranked team (in the regional) automatically will be advanced to the SR.

Per Ranters. ??
