Davey
Mauck
JR
Flynn
Ponder
Manual
Winston

Won't be reliant on an offensive coordinator.

QB developer, coached here previously, has coached under Saban, Miles and Bowden, has street cred with national title and playoff berth...young. If miles is gone, he is the best option not named Saban or Meyer.

One thing I would add is that he has shown he can hire a great coaching staff. He has had a steady turnover of DC's and continues to fill with good personnel.

Because he's different will work for some.

Because he's not Les Miles will work for others.

He's been a successful head coach at a Major College Football program is the one I'd grasp.

If it's NOT him, ugh, I just wouldn't know at that point.

Frankly, none of us give a flying shite if you're excited or not. Get excited and embrace the change or be a pussy and start bitching about the next coach already.

There are plenty, but I do find it comical how legendary Jimbo Fisher has become with the LSU fanbase. He is a darling of the fanbase now, but many people were highly critical of him from 2004-2006. It got even worse in 2007 when LSU won the NC with Flynn @ QB and Crowton as the OC who replaced Fisher.

In hindsight people would kill to have Fisher back as the OC/QB coach, but that certainly wasn't the sentiment in the few years before he left.

LSU was unappreciative of a guy who eventually took a lateral move to FSU (he didn't get the coach in waiting tab until after his first year), and LSU hasn't had an OC or QB coach in his stratosphere since his departure. Perhaps that can be a lesson for people who think replacing Miles will be so easy...

I don't think many people realized just how meddlesome Miles was in the offense back then either. Jimbo has proven he isn't the same game caller he was under Miles and I'm not sure why people keep arguing otherwise.

We'll be rid of Miles and his lame 70s offense.

Fla st always has talent....its like people saying saban had nothing when he arrived. Plus Miami declined as did Florida....weak acc...last years playoff team product of terribly weak conference. He is a solid choice....would do well at LSU...dull but well. I'm glad we are getting Kelly though.I can't wait to a him with our talent.

Hopefully you don't count me in that category as I'd like to have him replace Miles if the opportunity presents itself.

I'm simply pointing out how many people were indifferent to his departure in 2006, yet we've had absolutely zero success replacing him and he's become a fan favorite.

That 2003 staff was so filthy at the top.

HC - Nick Saban
OC/QB - Jimbo Fisher
DC - Will Muschamp

Can you imagine how successful they would be together in 2015?
