I'd throw them a bone or two if the real TAF would throw some points my way.

Doing some work for the assistant athletic director, he says they had some zoning problems with the city council, looks like they'll be resolved. Sounds like it'll be a nice venue. Fans might want to get in early. 2014. I think August.

Surely, whichever was the first to use this designation took the precaution of registering it. If so, they could make the other one stop using it. If not, then someone needs to be more on the ball.

I always thought our TAF was Tulanes athletic fund. That rent a win keeps their athletic department liquid.

That gravy train is over. They had to do something, hah.

The weenies' TAF group, the same folks who made their fans purchase season tickets just to get LSU game tickets here in Tiger Stadium. And they wonder why they never sold their full ticket allotment.

from what i've read, they're talking about an on campus stadium seating around 30K....i thought to be a FBS team you had to have a 35K stadium???

The old Tulane Stadium was way bigger than Tiger Stadium at that era in time. The idiots who talked Tulane from dropping out of the SEC need to keep rotting in their graves. Tulane won numerous SEC championships, plus it was a big rival for LSU. I'll never forget the loser of that annual game having to push the fan of that game, in the Lutcher/Gramercy area. Ga.Tech regrets leaving the SEC, but they landed up in a "better" conference than Tulane did. The ACC in this current landscape, is only slightly better than conference USA.

No, I don't believe that's the rule. They have to average so many thousand per home game a year or something. If it were stadium size, none of the other Louisiana teams would cut it either.

please, he was a big supporter of NOLA before that, and a reason the team didn't leave way before Katrina. He had a billion dollar business to protect.

I think he handled it like a douche, but it is dishonest to claim him to be something he isn't

B/c Tulane probably can't afford to pay him anything besides textbooks to play there

state owns the dome. Benson probably loses a little bit of money if they move + the additional loss of wealth from donating

Benson makes nothing off of other events at the Dome but makes everything on his games. Just pays rent and staffing. No split in parking or concessions like other events.

And Tulane has a great agreement with the Dome since they got kicked out of Tulane Stadium. It actually cost more for them to play over at Gormley.

Facts remain......without Benson, the SAINTS are gone, period.

His reasons for doing so are his own and bitching about that is moronic.
