The point of Tulane getting a stadium on campus is so that hopefully the students of the university will get more involved. This is a bigger deal than you can imagine! If Tulane drops football or to a small school classification, then the city of new Orleans will lose the Sugar Bowl and possibly any chance of holding the final four or regional basketball events. To have a major college event, you have to have a major college as a host school which for these previous events that i have mentioned, Tulane is the host school! So its HUGE for the state to do everything in its power to keep Tulane in college sports or else the city/state will lose a huge source of income. So it doesn't matter where the money comes from, it will happen. I personally think Tulane getting its own stadium on campus with help the program be semi successful at a minimum. I am also not saying that it will put them to a dominant phase, but it will definitely help them.
