Mascona started asking him about how they felt after losing the game in relation to Auburn losing. Obviously he says it devastating, but sort of went into a tangent about how he and many teammates were pissed off about how Bama made it back in after beating them in T-Town, them not having to play the SEC champ game, getting an extra week of rest, etc.

Have to say, I always agreed with him even before the game. Cracked me up to see people on here back then and sometimes still now still defending them making it back in. Obviously this is a pretty Germans topic, but it's refreshing to see someone from the team be so honest.

Ive said from then, that was the biggest psychological advantage that Bama had over LSU.

I thought dropping some knowledge would have been about why our game plan was complete and utter dog shite. I don't care to hear about how we spent a month crying that bama got in.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. LSU football died a little that night. And it was exactly for that reason. Slive and the SEC machine sucked the life out of LSU by lobbying so hard to get Bama back in it. It's the most unfair thing that ever happened in the BCS era. Good riddance.

Yeah, it really sucks that we have to share that national championship with Alabama and Oklahoma State.

ETA: Did I do that right, Bama?

We had no chance from the second they announced that Bama was getting a rematch. It was a huge slap in the face to us after what we had accomplished.

Sometimes I wonder if our program should have "campaigned" to have Oklahoma State play in the game instead by saying we want a new challenge and that we don't want to play a team that couldn't win its own division etc. etc.

I'd say USC being left out in '03 was maybe worse. Both were atrocities.

Wait, where's the inside info. on the fight between Miles and Stud that Lee should've started? I know it's true because my father in law heard it from a friend of his who knew a guy who heard from his barber.

In this order imo:

1. USC not playing LSU back in the Sugar Bowl
2. Auburn being left out
3. UA magically being let back into the title conversation immediately after LSU beat them in Ttown.

LSU- been there done that

Bama- Got something to prove

It was a slap in the face to LSU. The players felt that way and it showed. Bama fans can flame away all they want but frick them.

I would compare that game to the Duran/Leonard 2. Duran beat that arse in the first fight, second fight he could less.

Oklahoma getting housed by several TDs in the B12CG should have knocked them out immediately.

Solid list, but Auburn was screwed more by preseason rankings than anything. The teams ahead of them took care of business as well. Bama getting a do-over defies just about all logic and reason.

So I'd go:

1. USC in 03
2. Bama do-over
3. Auburn in 04
