Look at Miami and Larry Coker.

It's nice to see the Miles = Coker arguments rear their head again. It's like it is 2008 again.

Very different pattern.

I see it differently. Coker followed an undefeated season with a one loss season. He didn't have his first three loss season until years 4 and 5.

I will concede that the Coker comparison cannot be fully validated until we see what LSU and Les do in 2013 and beyond.

I think it's fully validated you're a fricktard.

How has Miami done since getting rid of Coker, anyway?

You know Miles has been here for 8 years now right? Played in the BCS in his 7th year? Coker lost 6 games and control of his team in 6 years, the comparison is horseshite.

And brings me back to my original point that no team can win despite it's head coach and maintain the success that LSU has.

If the comparison is over your head then just say so.

Has nothing to do with the subject being discussed. Keep trying.

I'm not calling for Les' head on a platter but I am concerned with the results of the 2012 season and how this may trend going forward.

I'm calling for more out of his offensive scheme. He's doing enough to get by and in the end we're losing key games by 6,5 or 1 point.

Be more creative in your offensive scheme and make defenses have to guess on what's coming at them. Until CLM gets this into his stubborn brain this team will continue losing games by small margins and missing BCSNG/BCS berths by just a step.

A point that has been reputed with examples of that very thing happening at other schools in the past.

Its my opinion LSU wins games in spite of Les Miles on the sidelines and not because he's there.

what do you attribute all the winning to then?

No it hasn't. Do you really not see the difference between a 7-6 season along with on field brawls in your 6th year leading to a firing (Coker) and a BCS appearance in your 7th year(Miles)?

You're proving my point with the Coker bullshite, he couldn't maintain a program, Miles has.

And to the OP, GTFO dude... The issue on this board is not the negativity, it's the REPEATED negativity... The same threads over and over and over and over... shite, this same general idea you have has been posted 10 times since the chicken bowl.... It just gets pretty annoying

2 ideas

1. You can quit reading the board or chicken just needs a circle jerk board like tidefans where if you say anything negative, you're banned.

Or you can pray miles makes a change at OC. If LSU's offense continues to rank in the bottom half of all of CFB and still no changes are made, then I hope people keep talking about it. Don't get mad at the posters. Get mad at the guy who won't fire the dead weight on the staff.

I don't want miles fired either before I get called out by one of the board babies.

And your question about who can we bring in to improve our offense? I can see a change needs to be made. I don't make 4 mill to hire them. If I did, this is my criteria

I would first determine based on the personnel what my offensive identity would be and what im trying to accomplish on offense schematically. Then I would do some research on various OCs around the country that run the system I want to run here at LSU.

After I research, I pick 3-5 guys who i think will get the most out of my players and interview them accordingly.

But I don't care who miles hires. It doesn't have to be a flashy name. Just a guy who is awesome at making his players the best they can be in turn while making the team the best it can be.

Honestly, I don't see much changing in 2013. If we don't see improvement on that side of the football and with the defense losing such key players combined with a killer schedule, we could be in for a very wild season.

I do. What's he done to stay? Play second fiddle to Bama when our talent is superior to theirs. Horrible in game coach. Makes horrible decisions. Not a good coach. Good recruiter, nice guy, but when it comes down to it and the game is on the line, I want almost anybody else but him. Cause history shows that he won't make the right call. This is his offense, those are his plays, and he's the reason why we aren't coming back from Miami with a national championship trophy with us.

It is idiotic posts like this that ruin the concept of genuine discussion. I don't mind pointing out negative aspects of the team. I don't mind when coaches are questioned. It is all part of good discussion. When the posts turn into the garbage that is being spewed above, that is when this thread and the message board in general lose their reason for existence and turn us all into a laughing stock as a fan base.

But, a HC the caliber of Miles should be looking for new ways to keep his team fresh on offense. Especially since his defense will more than likely have growing pains next season.

Oh well if you see it that must mean your idiotic comparison of Miles to Coker is legit.

Seriously? you don't see a difference between a bar fight and a bench clearing brawl in the middle of a game?
