The second hurricane I was referring to is Hurricane Orgeron

Suddenly I feel a lot better about LSU's administration after watching UF dither over what should be a simple decision.

8PM Friday evening, 90 miles from Gainesville after skirting the coast for over 200 miles. UF is making a ballsy move to keep the game there at the moment.

However I'm sure he trust the high brass at the university to make the right decision.

What if LSU refuses to go to Gainesville for the game in consideration of the safety of it's personnel. Then there is no game anywhere.

Did they also tell you who has the inside track on the head coaching job?

Won't happen. This is a HUGE storm.

I remember when Hurricane Edith tore through Baton Rouge in Sept. 1971. The weather was terrible for a week afterwards.

Yes, because no one from LSU knows how to handle themselves in a disaster. The game may not be affected by the storm because Gainesville probably will not get a direct hit.

In fairness, the eastern side of an Atlantic cyclone is far more destructive than the west.

west side of the storm is usually worse. gainesville will get the far east of the storm and may not even get tropical force winds.

i have no care either way but it is what it is.

i do know TAF and tiger stadium are just wanting to be more prepared this time then they were for USC last year.

yeah BR doesnt have a lot of vacant hotel rooms since its still filled with contractors and such dealing with our problems still.

I don't see an issue here. Very few Florida fans would travel and most out of state LSU fans won't make it. Away weekends are always chock full of events. This would be a baton rouge crowd

Yup Im aware. The point was that there is more to a storm than just the center.
