I've been saying for years our players are not strong at the point of attack like we once was. People always bring up that Moffitt is one of the best in business, but the results lately seem to differ. Our players don't test well at the combine and we get pushed around at times

Take it for what it's worth, but multiple former West Monroe guys who played at LSU have told me they got slower and weaker while at LSU. Just repeating what I was told.

That's a linebacker coming totally untouched on a run blitz, which Alabama used on almost every first and second down. What could happen if Fournette was blocking on that play and a tight end ran a route where the LB came from?

Also, Alabama used a safety on the wide side of the field almost every first and second down so LF couldn't break a run outside. That safety was just an extra LB.

Alabama beat us because Saban knew all he had to do was stop LF, and that Miles is not capable of making the adjustments needed. Why did Tennessee run so well against Alabsma and Ole Miss score so many points. Do they have better athletes than LSU? or maybe a better game plan.

We have multi-million dollar coaches. They can't devise a pick-proof signal system?

They have recruiting at the highest level for years. They don't have issues with depth.

oh yea, which ones?

i know he and Whitworth are on good terms. I know Moffit did enough with Mingo's body to fool people into thinking he is actually a good player.

You seem to know a lot about our strength and conditioning program, so if you say it's on par with Alabama's I'll take your word for it.

it's fine. We got ran over late in the game because A)our front 7 on DEF is light in the pants B)there is no depth there and C)our LBs are just not that good.

and im not sure what a good special teams play has to do with S&C, or how that reflects poorly on tommy moffit. coaching/player development/depth are the problems here.

if anyony thinks there are huge differences in the weight room programming between LSU and Bama they are a lunatic.

Who?
1st round draft pick Barkevious Mingo who went from 209 lbs to 240 as junior?

or Jordan Allen who quit the program for Arizona then quit at Arizona?
or Will Blackwell who said "I would trade LM for Kilff Kingsbury right this second"
or Paul Turner who transfered to LaTech?
or walk-on Tyler Glynn
or Shomari Clemons who broke his leg got arrested and left for Texas Southern?

Forgive me if I don't believe anything that comes out of West Monroe.

We need more bodies up front

Then what little gas those guys have gets burned up when we play les ball and start racking up three and outs

Debo and beckwith are good but there is no depth there. I do think we are trending back towards a bigger LB type which is good with me

guess you forgot we had a lot of underclassmen playing against a defense with 8 seniors.

you can blame chavis for recruiting players that were soft because they had not had the best strength and conditioning programs.

at the end of the day a s&c program can only go so far. and too much obviously will make you not perform as well.

moffit has earned his keep and his place; until hes ready to go he will not go anywhere.

get your head out of your arse man.

Player for Player, Alabama is not that much more talented than LSU. I don't care what anyone says, their players use PEDs. It was reported that they use deer antler spray before. They take something before big games and leading up to big games that gives them a significant edge. More power to them because they don't get caught. LSU needs to give their players the same shite. But, i don't care what anyone says, my eyes don't lie, those players were on something that we weren't.

I have been saying this for years. We don't even dominate the line of scrimmage against the out of conference teams. But, you can't blame Moffit if the players are getting stronger, but not tougher and meaner.

exactly there aren't many things different if at all.

people will nit pick a thing here and there, but the overall program development for offseason and inseason are going to be very similar across any top 10-15 teams in the country id say. if not more than that

deer antler spray is pretty worthless.

it probably just has melatonin in it and other things to help you get a deeper sleep.

The player selection on special teams has been terrible all year long. Saturday night there was a player on the kickoff return team that was literally starting to run off the field before the play was even over. With that attitude he should be "processed" and give the spot to someone who wants to hit/block.
