The rantards were out in full force saying he will never be a good SEC quarterback. I actually had a list of all the anti-Jamarcus posters on my old computer.

JaMarcus's freshman season was 100x's better than Lee's. No comparison.

If you want to see "bashing" of a QB, take a time machine back to 1999-2001 and see Josh Booty talk amongst LSU fans.

And believe it or not, Rohan had his fair share of bashers as well.

I'm not comparing what the two did on the field. Jamarcus was a much better prospect period. My point is it doesn't matter who the quarterback is, if there is any signs of early struggle there will be plenty of assholes to bash him.

Some of you people truly show ignorance. Amazing you would actually post and prove it. J. Lee had a rough RS frosh season. Next year will be RS Soph. Matthew Stafford had worse frosh season IMO and he turned out fine. But for those attempting to prove stupidity, keep on. You are doing fine.

No one was going to bash Craig Nall though, especially when the coaches were stupid enough to think he should try to be a WR.

How do you figure JL had a better season than Stafford when their freshman year stats were close to equal and given so many of JL's INTs went for TDs?

Or do you not place a severe negative value on a INT for a TD? Because you should. A turnover for a TD is the worst play in football.

But a freshman nonetheless.

Some freshmen (regardless of whether they are RS or not) are just better than others.

JL had similar if not better numbers than Stafford from Georgia his freshman year. People had too high of expectations for the kid which sucks. JL and JJ are both amazingly talented QBs that could flourish the next few years for LSU.

no.
there is a big difference in a redshirt freshman who had a year to practice with the team and a true freshman.

JL has a better arm than JJ. When JL is tuned in, he has great pocket presence. JL is a fiery competitor that LSU fans should be proud of.

BUT..

JL also didn't just throw everyday INTs like Stafford did, he threw them for TDs. That he threw such horrible INTs is indicative of just how horrible his decision making was at times last year. That means something, and can't just be ignored so that one can say JL and Stafford were equal as freshmen.

Yeah, but that doesn't always directly translate to how things will play out on the field. Prior to last year neither JL or JJ had any actual in game experience. JL struggled, and JJ did pretty good. I think for some the flow of the game just comes more naturally than others.

you sir, are an idiot
+1 My father graduated from LSU and started taking me to ball games at the age of 5. I have always been a fan of LSU donating and owning season tickets. BUT I was not offered a scholly to LSU to play baseball but was at another school. I went where they payed for my education! So I cannot be a LSU fan?
