sorry, but an 18 year old kid has no effect on the economy... or my life for that matter.

be upset that the kid made mistakes, then hope he improves.

And that's not the point, it was just an example. Someone bashing a football player has no affect, just like someone personally bashing the president doesn't do anything either.

bashing the prez = legit

bashing an 18 year old kid = sad.

i don't care who the prez is. if you feel that their decisions are bad for the country/you then bash away.

but bashing a kid for going out and doing everything he can do to win a game is really sad.

some of you on here don't know what a true frosh and redshirt frosh are like the poster of this thread, y'all keep sayin JL was a true frosh, he was not, JJ was a true frosh, but Lee had already been in the system for an entire year.

Exactly. Lee sucked with an entire year in the system under his belt. While Jefferson was pretty good (outstanding in the bowl game) with only 4 months of the system under his belt.

Don't waste anymore breath trying to stop some LSU fans from bashing JL. They're just ignorant. I remember them wanting to run Craig Nall out of Baton Rouge to make room for Josh Booty. Last time I checked Nall played several years in the NFL, Booty didn't do squat. I love LSU but frankly, SOME of our fans are ignorant shitheads. Just watch, if JJ doesn't play GREAT right off the bat they'll be screaming for Russell Shepard to play QB.

OK, so I have stood by without responding to a Jarret Lee bashing post for too long. Here's my rant:

First of all, I am so tired of people saying to stop bashing JL because he is just a college kid and he makes mistakes etc, etc. No one is coming in here saying the guy is a terrible person, like "Jarret Lee is a waste of human life" or something retarded like that. People are criticizing his play, which is validated because he was absolutely TERRIBLE last year. Yes, there are those who will say "oh bu he was just a freshman, he was just inexperienced" blah blah blah. The fact of the matter is, you criticize someone based on their body of work and what they have shown through their job performance, and his job performance absolutely sucked.

Second of all, this is LSU. This is a top-5 caliber athletic department and football program. We have won 2 BCS titles. If you want to play with the big boys, you've got to be the best. And JL is just not the best. Thats OK, people. Im sure he could do well at a smaller FBS school, but he just cant cut it here. Sure athletes do improve over the course of time and experience, but JL did not show anything last year that would signify he can improve to be a championship-caliber QB. The media scrutiny is magnified immensely at a program like LSU, so if you cant hang, you will be criticized.

This is the Tiger RANT and it is ok for people to come on here and bitch about whatever they want, or to complement whatever they want, bc this is the internet and free speech is a beautiful thing.

Im just so tired of these people starting "leave JL alone" threads, bc no one is attacking the personal qualities or character of JL. I dont personally know him, but Im sure he is a classy guy and is a well rounded individual. But his football skills are open game... and thats what people are criticizing. His football skills. So stop crying, wipe your vagina, and lets all move on here!

the problem that i have is these posters that act like if JJ had started from the beginning that we would have been so much better.

the coaches took the qb that was most ready at the time.

so now we have a kid that wasnt supposed to be playing yet and getting bashed for not playing great football.

my hope is he learns from last year and grows as a player.

what is the point of bashing him anyways? fine, you think he sucks. good for you. now move on.
