LSU is a damn strong team and it will be a huge win for our tigers on Saturday night at Tiger Stadium. It is fun to bust on our team after a loss, but now, as the man says, it is time to show some love and support.

Do you as a rational person believe that you should go undefeated every year and win the National Championship every year? Do I want this??? ABSOLUTELY, but there are bumps and bruises throughout the journey. Am I going to jump off the cliff and hate on my own team??? ABSOLUTELY NOT. This is the SEC, EVERYONE IS GOOD, there will be losses at times. 1 every couple years is PRETTY DAMN GOOD.

first off, pretty much 98% of the people expressing themselves after losses KNOW we cannot win every game on the docket… but their "negative rant" is hyperbole…. they are in a supremely emotional state, after a loss, and maybe a little drunk too…. even on to the next couple of days, the sting of the loss still hurts…

but for this season, we were ALL told how good Mett was and the offense was going to be dangerous and the other bullshite we gladly ate up , as full as we could possibly get…. EVERYONE….

and when it transpires that our offense isn't what it was billed to be, and we look, well, lost, and then you consider how other teams we are to play are playing, it's not hard to understand why some are just fearing the inevitable…..look, i'd love to be able to sit here and say "we don't have anything to worry about", but after watching the same shite, week after week, there has been NOTHING that leads me to believe that all of a sudden, miraculously this offense is going to turn it around…. next year, sure maybe… this season is a wash….. sooner or later, everyone will realize what us pegged as "negatigers" or whatever other cool, cliche the Rant has come up with in the mean time, are talking about…..

i sorta agree with about some things in your post, but i also know that the relative IQ and age of people here isn't that great, so i take some of the really stupid shite in stride and consider the relative source….. the really "challenged" are easy to spot….

anyway, that will conclude my diatribe, for now, but hopefully that offers a good enough rebuttal to the opening statements by the OP...

no doubt, and i'll be there ready to scream my anus into my esophagus and back, but i'm not one for predictions…. that's what the comment really was addressing….

Good point ... but where did this information come from? You likely read it here on the Rant. Lesson to be learned ... don't set expectations based on what someone on the Rant posts.

Nothing will change because Miles doesn't think there is a problem with the scheme. He thinks it's all a matter of failing to execute. There is probably some truth to that, but overall the play calling is way too conservative and predictable. We play not to lose...we don't attack. I'm not even sure things would be any different next year.

The man is 80-19. The only guys in school history who coached more than 3 years, even close are 48-16, 137-59 and 83-39 - 2 of those 3 are in the college football hall of fame, the third will be and so will Les.

This team is still outstanding on defense, just missing the big plays that came out of the cornerback position over the past 2 years. The offense still has potential, but has thus far underperformed.

We lost to Florida in 2003, in an even less inspiring performance. I believe we turn it around and compete for the conference championship.

there's not a doubt in my mind that after this season, we will have change… that, and Mett will have a year in the offense, with experience with his receivers, etc…. should be much more exciting next season, but the rest of this season….. well, i'm just gonna say, we have what we have….

Say what you want, Roaad, but if you think good D is having 44 points scored on you by Tenn, and 35 by SC, then you have a much different idea of good D than I do.

USC beat UGA decisively. They should have lost to Vandy.

We beat Auburn at home, and should have- without drops and turnovers - beat a decent Florida team on the road.

My point is I think the game will be a much closer game than a lot of posters fear, and I like our chances to pull a W.

No I don't believe we should win the National Championship every year. That's what Bama fans believe and they are correct. My issue is easily correctable. Hire a good offensive coordinator (not a Bowling Green OC) and let him do his job. If LSU can raise its offensive ranking to an eye popping top 50 nationally we will be a nightmare for Bama and everybody else in the country.
