of coarse not, but when the calls are not working, you make ADJUSTMENTS by calling plays that put our players in better position to win on the next play. This is where Miles fails as an Xs and Os guy.

I think you missed last season...

Last time I looked Miles was Chavis' boss and the defense is under his watch as well.

The reason I am a fan of college and high school football and NOT the pro's is because it changes every year. Yes, teams can reload (LSU, my home town hs team, Katy are both examples). Anything can happen - injuries, graduation, grades - all can influence the players that are available each week.

LSU this year has really be harmed by injuries. Plain and simple. Our O-line is a shadow of what it was last year due to graduation and injuries.

LSU is a very strong team. Give Mett time to throw and he will do extreamly well. He is still maturing. Other posts have all but called for his head. Come on guys, 20 year old kids are playing in a fishbowl - every move is over analyzed both locally and nationally. What were you like when you were 20?

Lastly, regarding Les. If you listen to many here that want him gone, who would you suggest that we could replace him with? He is a good coach, great recruiter and a fine man.

It's a game folks. Yes a very important game, but a game no loss. Let's forget about griping about the team and enjoy their successes!

He failed so much that he had one of the best seasons in LSU football history last year and won a NC in 07.....

Sometimes things catch up to you like injuries, etc... It's not always so obvious like you think.. If it was that easy, everyone like yourself could be making 4.5 mill per year...

We aren't going to win every game by 60 points and when the NC every damn year...

How in the world could you know what would happen if we started running complex passing plays?

Let me say this. Why would we start catching deep balls if the short routes were off?

We had one healthy OL in his starting position.

Vadal and turner were manning the right side.

Porter at center. Hurst out of position at lt.

How complex should we get until that lineup gels?

You sound like a moron.

I wonder if Miles would have even won COY if they had given the award out after 1/9 considering his performance in that one!!!

So sick of hearing this crap.. Let it go.. We were beat by a great team who we beat earlier in the year... One fricking game doesn't define anything... Just liek the florida game doesn't define this season...

see this is where you and I part ways. I happen to think that the game on 1/9 defined EVERYTHING that year as it was the National Title Game. If a national championship game is not a "defining" moment, I dont know what is !!!!

Sure its defining to a degree.

So how defining was the NC win in 07? I guess you discount that one. It goes both ways.

So, if the adjustments were made on 1/9 and Bama still won (which IMHO was likely), what then?

You are aware that the 9-6 win was a very thin line?

They did lose badly, but that Bama team was simply better......with better athletes as well.

Answer Charles question.

How do you qualify as an x n o's guy to criticize LSU so much based on strategy and adjustments?

I love the tigers alot but feel this may be our last uear as a superior team. We will slowly lose recruits as coaches do not use their talents wisely. I hope I am wrong and

No. The 07 NCG was a solid performance by all 3 phases of the game. Offense (Crowton's 1st year) and Pelini on D (with some excellent players). What I saw on 1/9 was the worst performance of coaching, game planning, stubbornness, lack of preparation, etc. from any coach in a game of that magnitude....ever!!! And Miles makes $4.5 million per year from us. To me its inexcusable to fail the seniors and outgoing juniors like that. Leaving LSU with perhaps the best team and best season in history and you lay an egg on national tv for all the recruits to watch. Then the next month you lose several in state prospects to lord Saban to boot. Unbelievable.

Just like1/9 was going to kill our recruiting.

bullshite, we are staring at two of our best classes ever in the next couple years.

Hell we had a guy committed to bama swing our direction.

I agree. We probably had no business winning the 1st one, but we did and I credit Miles for that one, but what he did on 1/9 was something else.
