Standing O for Deion

Deion was only a top 400 recruit 4 years ago, comes into LSU, fights hard to improve his whole time in college, and is now going to be an NFL draft standout. Way to go, breaux! I'm happy for this young man.

Really wish he would have got more PT here. Debo's a beast. Such a great kid and true tiger fan. I'll root for him wherever he goes.

People do put too much emphasis on first couple of years. Keep working and keep developing. And for the fans, be patient and let the kids keep improving.

Not bad for a Jesuit girl
Just kidding. Love ya Debo

Absolutely agree. His junior year should've been his breakout year.

The Tiger nation thanks you and wishes you the best.

If you read everything that's being reported from the practices going on now, he's absolutely tearing it up. They're saying his stock has gone up a good bit with his performance so far. Way to go Debo.

I always felt that if he were an inanimate object it would be a cruise missile.

Chavis made some head scratching decisions (Welter)
DJ will do well in NFL good luck to him

He deserves all the praise he's getting. Can't remember one issue with this young man and he has taken care of business.
I believe he will see similar success as Kwon immediately.

I remember him specifically in his younger years and watching him fly all over the field. I kept thinking that I couldn't wait to see him in his Jr and Sr year. Glad he finally broke through this year. I blame Chavis for not getting him on the field earlier.

Loved when Debo made Melvin Gordon's arse quit in the Wisky game

Just love to see our guys do well after they leave, just love it. I have the opportunity to run in to two former players from time to time and they are both successful family guys with great kids I think LSU does a great job with most of their athletes getting them ready for real life. As supporters, we should all pat ourselves on the back for our part in that however small.

Would love for the Saints to grab him. He and Anthony running all over the field...lawd I don't think the Saints have had that kind of athleticism at LB since the Dome Patrol.

This is why I was not a Chavis fan.
Anybody that cannot see that, there is not a day on this planet, in which the likes of L. Barrow, D.J. Welter, should have ever touched the field before Deion. He stepped onto campus better than those guys.
And sadly, people will still say it's about size and learning the system. Size doesn't make tackles.
Football has, and always will be about reading and reacting. Of course you have to know the plays, but if he doesn't know, have somebody on the field tell him. Period. Smarts doesn't make tackles. If so, the NFL would be flooded with Ivy League talent.
We would have been a different team had Debo been in the line-up early on.
I've posted this in other threads. It's a shame that our 4-3 could have consisted of...
K. Alexander.
K. Beckwidth
D. Jones.
That is a set that would'nt even have to leave the field vs. a spread defense.
Welter was terrible.
Barrow was average at best.
People don't understand, that sometimes it's not about football. Coaches are human beings, who have their favorites, and have their dislikes. If the LSU defensive coaches would just about talent. Our LB core could have been all world.
Debo's high school tape is reduce loud. 5* if I have ever seen it. The first time he saw the field as a freshman he made a TFL for a 7 yard loss. Very first play on the field.
It's also sickening to know that many people really believe that Kendall Beckwidth didn't know the playbook until halftime of tha '14 Auburn game...
Lmmfao.
Back to the topic.
Do you realize Debo's stat sheet from his first year starting is first round ridiculous. Literally, consider that he missed a game for targeting, and still lead the team in tackles.
This dude would have been a first round lock had he had any other time to contribute on the field prior to this year. L. Barrow and DJ. Welter... Ahead of Debo and Kendall. And people called Chavis a genius. In what world?
