easy killer

1) Saints don't run the spread
2) Ridley has not been more impressive

According to the stat book, he isnt, Ware's season average is 4.1 Trent 6.3 infact ware hasn't averaged 5 ypc in one game. I guess I will have to say Trent is better.

This. Danielson may have overstepped himself with his "in another class" comment, however.

I looked at Richardson's stats and hype coming into the LSU game last year and it's a repeat again this year. Alot of good games against .....not the LSU Tigers. Comes into the game against us and racks up a whopping 28 yards before getting punished by a defense that isn't as good as the one your witnessing this year.

Don't get me wrong, I hate Bama, but you are forgetting Ingram's close-to-100-yard-game last year.

How do you compare a Soph. with a senior? Two years from now if Ware doesn't go out early because he will be so much better than Richardson in that time, he will be running circles around what Richardson is doing at Bama. What would he be having to say if Ridley was still at LSU running like a bull In the NFL.

Wow, hard to believe so many LSU fans didn't watch the Fla. game.

There was one important thing he said all night. That was that there was no intensity in the booth.

I can't see how this can be argued. Trent Richardson will be a first round pick next year. Ware may be a mid round pick when he goes pro. He's a good college back and does what he needs to move the chains but I haven't seen anything out of him that was amazing - or in the class of what Richardson has done in his career and especially this season.

I wasn't comparing Ware to Richardson. I was pointing out that richardson had fewer carries (and 28 yards) in LSU game last year because of ingram carries. Plus I think he got hurt in the game too.

Danielson replied after the game "Richardson has earned that distinction"

Fair enough

Nov 5th will determine the better team and the better running game.

He got hurt in the first half.

Richardson is better, but the 'not in the same class' bit is silly.

Gary is being a little hard on Trent, he's almost as good as Ware.

I think Trent is better, but the above statement is also true. Saying they are not in the same class is kind of ridiculous considering he is a year ahead.

Richardson is awesome.

Ware is damn good, but he's in a different offense. LSU runs some unbelievably predictable plays (sometimes the same play 3x in a row - straight pitch anyone?).

Bama usually seems to be a lot more creative with their play calling, so that lends itself to bigger gains.

What impresses me about Ware is that teams have stacked the box against him and we've let them know what we're doing and he's still running them over and getting 1st downs. That type of physical play is a huge weapon. If we start mixing up the play calling more, his gains will get bigger and bigger. But what LSU is doing is working right now, so I can't really bitch about it. We could have easily hung 50 on Florida, but we just kept running the same predictable plays. So Florida was lucky in that aspect, but that's about the only way they were lucky.

I would assume the media would lump LaMicheal James into this different/better class as well..
LSU vs. Oregon
L. James - 54 net yds. 1 TD 3.0 YPC

Ware - 99 Net yds. 1 TD 3.8 YPC
Ford - 96 net yds. 2 td 6.9 YPC

I don't think his statement is accurate but it's the way of the world... superstar on a good team.. LSU spreads the ball around too much to have any (offensive) superstars...
