Everybody plays mid-major schools, therefore the numbers can't be skewed.

So, not only were we the only team playing mid-majors, but this is the first time we've done so? Interesting.

It's pretty exciting. Our Total O finished 51, 102, 81, 57 and 77 (2008-2012). Zach finished about 50 points higher in efficiency rating. We made a huge jump. We won't have a huge bumper crop leaving early for next year. It's possible the next 3-5 years might be the highest level we've ever performed at.

Well for starters Cam obviously made a HUGE impact.

He did, I agree.......but.......

maybe Miles just gave Cam a bit more ownership of the offense this year than in years past? I think that had a lot to do with it.

Doesn't nearly accurately reflect that game. Not even close.

This is the first time since fisher that we will have a real QB developing OC get a chance to develop a QB from the ground up. What cam did with mett in one offseason should have everyone excited about the future of our offense.

:sigh:

You think miles restricted crowton?

You don't think miles would have let krags run the offense if he didn't get Parkinson's?

You think stud deserved full control of our offense?

Miles did what needed to be done and literally made changes every year since crowton proved to suck without a pre-developed QB.

Cam Cameron's offense has not even been fully installed yet.

Next year I expect the offense may struggle early, but be hitting on most cylinders by mid-season. Getting your young WRs on the same page with your inexperienced QB will be the key.

If the defense can stop the run early in the season, the offense can make a charge late in the season for the SEC West crown.

Your SEC West is going to be truely wild with Bama, LSU, TAM, and Auburn all in the top 15 most years--WOW!

Hell yeah man. Remember the 2012 UA game when Mett got the ball back with a little over a minute left. He looked completely lost, didn't know what to do. That was all coaching. Then fast forward to Jennings and Arkansas. We caught a break on the busted coverage but the most important thing was the he was calm, composed and acted like he had a plan, and was able to take advantage of what was available. That too was coaching.

It's just night and day.

No doubt.

And yeah we did get lucky with the blown coverage BUT people are too quick to downplay that pass. If I recall correctly, he was hit in stride and it would have been a difficult pass to defend even if the defender was there. Could have broken it up but he would have had to play it just right.

Oh yeah, Jennings is a legitimate dual threat. It was a beautiful pass. And he will be going into his 2nd year (2014) being trained by Cam.

Yep. People on here get caught up in wins and losses and don't pay attention to anything else. A lot of people seem to just repeat what other "negatigers" say.

Expected tbh.

The key things are ppg, not yds. Defense allowed 22.7 ppg vs 16.9 ppg in 2012. Pretty much allowed one more TD per game. With a young defense, that's not terrible, considering how good we were in 2012 on defense.

Offense went from 30.3 ppg to 37.0 ppg, so about 1 more TD per game which is a big improvement on the offensive side of the ball.

All in all, we averaged +13 ppg in 2012 and +14 ppg in 2013. Both season we have 3 losses. We had virtually the same team production this year after losing a record number of underclassmen to the draft. It means the talent we have is coming of age fairly quickly and, whether you believe it or not, the coaches are developing talent.

We still need to fix our 2 minute defense.

Defense is average and rebuilding with the misfortune of playing against multiple good and experienced QBs.

If our defense was number one in yards and points allowed people would be singing a different tune, too. It was what it was.

I expect LSU's defense to be better than advertized. You played against some pretty good offensive ball clubs. Those games hurt the rankings.

One teams rank versus another teams' rank is only directionally usefull but certainly not definative.
