The idea that we will be equals with Saban's Alabama over the long term.

I am thinking the illusion that LSU Football = Everything in BR. Last night woke alot of people up to the absurdity of fandom.

This.

Look at what they did to us last night, and then look at their current recruiting class.

You'll start to get the picture.

This pretty much sums it up. LSU will remain a second rate power in CFB compared to Saban led Alabama. If only Saban had not bolted for the NFL, could you imagine the dynasty he would have built here?

It's obvious that some have never competed. Ever.

Saban is the best coach in CFB and it isn't even class. To make it worse, he is the best recruiter in the country. Bama should be paying him 10 million a year.

Here let me whine a little

For older fans like me, who were there when "Billy" made the run, we wanted one more RUN so to speak and we know we will never pass this way in OUR lifetime again.

Hopefully you younger will see it, I seriously doubt we have the schedule we had with wins that brought the opportunity to step into GREATNESS that will allow some of us to see it again.

My 2 cents of what died last nigt

This for me. Entrusting a team of college students with your mental and sometimes physical well being is just not logical. I mean I feel as though I found out I have cancer or something. Deactivated my facebook, I'm not taking texts or calls, haven't turned on the TV. This is all I'm doing. It's brought me a lot of clarity and I hate it because being a die hard is awesome. I feel like its all come crumbling down for me though and thats tough to stomach.

Say what you will. Miles had an opportunity to make a statement last night. Hell, he's shined in bowls and Saban hasn't. But we got fricking embarrassed.

We will beat Alabama pretty regularly (as we have since Saban's arrival) but watch who stacks up the most hardware.

Sorry. Not saying things can't change, but as they stand, we will not be the class of the SECw.

The notion that swagger alone wins big games. It does not. Against an equal competitor - you need a lot of preparation.

He wouldn't still be here. His ego demands that he be a long-term coach at a historic program like Bama. He is the best coach in the game right now bar none and I think he finds the idea of retiring at Bama and being possibly mentioned one day in the same breath as Bear Bryant attractive and fitting for his legacy. Bama will be the hurdle you have to jump over to win it all in the SEC as long as he stays in Tuscaloosa. That said, I think we beat them in Baton Rouge next year and I think LSU has a very good chance to make the title game again. This time against USC in the Orange Bowl BCS game.
