Over the past few years, he has lost a few number 1's out of the state to nick saban. Defense and power running has always been the SEC stamp. He has a power back that is said to be the real deal. Whether he is or not cannot not be determine with 7 carries. That is coaching. He cannot make adjustments on the fly. He has to go in at half time and make adjustments. That's coaching or a lack thereof. With a good team if you can't make situational adjustment dynamically, you are going to loose. LSU is starting every season getting ranked lower and lower. Auburn, Florida, Alabama, Texas A&M for sure is going to run all over them. That could be easily 4 losses. LSU being .500 and going to one of those garbage bowls? How are gonna feel about that?

The one thing I said was he is too predictable and many of the best players in the state does not want to play for him

We led the ncaa in 3rd down% and had the second highest in the last ten years.

If that is predictable, give it to me again

Which is why he has a winning record when trailing going into the 4th...

Can't recruit? Has anyone put more players in the nfl?

LSU has gotten big time recruits from other states as well. Ever heard of Patrick Peterson?

Not every Louisiana kid grows up with LSU as their favorite team.

Some Eyes Are Finally Starting To Open He lost me after Ole Miss last year. He can recruit, but fails in development at a lot of positions and is not good with x's and o's. That's 1/3 of major skill sets needed at HC. I can't see this team fully turning it around under him in the next 3 years or so. We will always be above average with Les. If 2007 wasn't such an anomaly of a CFB season, his seat would be a lot hotter right now. I hope he takes the job at Michigan this time and we can start to explore candidates with the potential for greatness, even if it's a rocky road along the way.

Hard to argue with this.

The last time LSU won a BCS bowl game, John Brady was the head basketball coach and Malachi Dupre was in elementary school.

Miles is a great recruiter, as long as it's not a QB or MLB.

He can and does coach = $325,000.00 per month, highest winning % ever at LSU,

He can recruit = Top 5 nationally consistently

He is predictable = yep

He is a BoneHead sometimes = for sure ! ( My addition to Op )

Many of the the best payers does want to play for him, Lol, as of now.

I've never liked Les Miles = irrelevant

What might those other options be smart guy? Hmm?

Surely you didn't mean this. Because if you meant it, then all your potential cred is gone. And anything else you may have said that was true or possible will not be taken seriously. You will become a laughing stock, and maybe are already. Too bad, but hubris is a bitch...

this sums up 90 percent of the negatigers on here. he followed saban, and nothing he ever does will be good enough. they've been waiting 10 years for the program to fall apart, for us to become kentucky, but we haven't, so they take every opportunity they can to pretend like we have to justify their decade of whining.

You will get your wish...with Michigan struggling this year. Brady Hoke will be fired and I don't think Les wll turn down Michigan a third time. Then I will sit back and watch you rant about the next coach we hire and how much he sucks. It's like the old sayin goes....don't know what ya got till its gone. I also don't blame the man for leaving. All he has done here is win and that simply is not good enough for a contingent of the LSU fans. Justsayin.
